It's possible there was a bike issue. But looking at Marchbanks results in those moto's, they are not reflective of a bike that had a bogging problem.

Is Chase really the most coincidentally unluckiest rider on the track? Because the bad luck seems to follow him everywhere no matter what bike he's on. Not saying the bike didn't have a failure but all I know is theres definitely a pattern here. Marchbanks did alright 🤷🏻‍♂️ Same day, same track, same team, same bike.

rode a Honda CR250AF for about 6 years and I can confirm this. Got the chance to ride a friends 2024 TM300 for the first time last year in south tyrol. They threw me on a very crowded track with this bike and I felt immediately comfortable on it. I ride a CR144 AF most of the time:
