My theory is similar - in 2022 he gave Tomac all he could handle, nearly won the title, then won a bunch of SX races in ‘23, won the title (maybe a bit fortuitously but nonetheless showed the speed). IMO they were the catalyst for brands stepping up into athletic materials/fit in this generation. Sad to see them go.

Using Prado as data and proof is stupid. If you follow that line of reasoning, that means anyone who moves from a kawi to ktm would improve their finish by 5-10 spots. So Marchbanks would be a hands down winner. Another thing, Prado riding better this year can prove one or two things. It could prove hes better on a ktm. It can also prove the HE DID QUIT on the Kawi team last year. He just didnt even want to try. He could have been top 5 every race last year if gave the effort. Maybe not a winner...

Broc Tickle has one west coast 250 championship and in my opinion that means more than Kitchen winning this SMX series. As far as importance and legacy goes these SMX “titles” are below the well established championships we already have. Just my opinion.

iPhone, burkeen provides some really great footage and content. I don’t care if it’s an iPhone or a $6k camera, he gets footage and shots guys with 40k in equipment never will. Dude works hard, runs all over the track side literally running from turn to turn to get the angles and views he does. Some high end established outlets will absolutely not be running up the hills and up the jumps to get these views. But sure “the best” will remain. The ones “they” say are the best will remain. And so it goes.
