You have an issue with someone calling out how ignorant James sounds? Everyone here complains about the broadcast all the time. It’s terrible. Best race so far was the spots in first 250 moto when it was just the sound of the bikes. James and Ricky are just awful in the booth. Ricky stumbles over his words and James tries to sound like he’s from the ghetto. Neither are good for the sport.

Does anyone here KNOW what happened, with all the possible nuance, in order to make an informed opinion? It could be really bad, or it could be much ado about nothing, or anywhere in between.

Family shit can go sideways sometimes. Been there, done that, it was awful, but now it’s all good. Pro racers aren’t immune to the same stresses and strains us normally folk are. I’ll be rooting for Jason when he returns.

To play devil's advocate a little, Prado's KTM blew up on him just last week, Chase is just unfortunate enough to have his grenade mid-air... Kawi needs someone like RJ, JCoop and/or Mookie to come onboard with Marchbanks (hell, run three 450's) and run a roster of riders that are capable of putting in some under-the-radar surprise finishes, until they actually get the bike figured out. Otherwise, they're gonna keep upsetting star riders in a very public way and end up with multiple divorces in a span of a few years.

Seems like that's what happened. You see his brake foot move, front end drop, panic rev motion, nothing, slam. If he rode the bike to the pits then it seems like rider error rather than the bike just cutting out. I've had a beer and this is all purely specula-pulled out of my ass.

I am not seeing how it is the team management. Chase was just a turn away from winning Arlington, and with that woukd have won the whole championship the way the points played out. Instead he headcased and threw it away on the KTM and then blamed the bike . He win the second race of the SX season on the Kawi, looked good and was fast all day. He then headcased and changed all the major stuff on the bike saying it was not good enough. This is on him, period. He makes bad choices, then blames the bike...

It's disgraceful that most of the moto 'media' don't actually report anything. It's completely unacceptable. As mentioned earlier, they all say they know what happened, that someone told them 'exactly' what happened and yet never tell the public. Are they 'bros' or media? Clearly bros. The exception in this particular case is Weege. He said on the Racer X podcast that he heard it wasn't a ghostride so much as a not putting the bike on the stand and letting it drop to the ground. As for Chase's dad. He was lucky Marchbanks didn't drop him...
