^^^How do Matthes and Blair square the “reported” seven figure buyout?

His kawi deal alone was around 3-4 million. ASTARS and Oakley money puts him around another million+. 3 year deal, that’s roughly 12-15 million.

That has nothing to do with the buyout if there is one.

Technically does Ducati have a empty spot on the 450?… or is RJ really getting Barcia/Dylan money combined?

Supposedly, Savatgy is filling the other seat.

Savatgy is all but confirmed at Ducati.

I was just assuming with a deal that big there would be a hefty buy out clause after losing Prado

Well, I’ll bet we know something by this time next week.

Unless Roczen is retiring, I cannot see how PMG Suzuki could afford to have Kenny, Anderson, Barcia, and Chase on the same team. Even if Monster and Progressive (and/or Twisted Tea) kick in more cash to land a bigger name, I would be shocked if they could financially make it happen.

Suzuki Japan appear to be getting more involved. They aren’t short of money.

Personally, I don't believe the "he accidentally tapped the rear brake" theory and I kinda resent Faihe for suggesting it. But I also don't think there's a bike out there that's gonna completely eliminate the inevitable Sexton-Tuck.
Can't wait to see how things play out.

He also talks a lot about "the Bed Bugs" in his DM's.  Maybe he wouldn't be so unbiased if he wasn't bullied into it?

I don't even know where to stand on this. This is three major teams in a row for Chase. Not identical in each case, but it didn't work out for any. Then there is Kawi which seems to have issues. Are the issues solely the bike, is it team management/culture/policy, I have no idea, but it's not working. This was destined to be a shit show and here we are.

He won a championship for Honda and then KTM. I understand Honda and the Lawrence attention, but at KTM except for those weird crashes at Pala and Ironman I thought he and the team were solid.

Kawasaki has clear correlation as THE problem. If Prado didn't catch fire after leaving Kawi you could maybe say it's the riders.

Sexton wins championship - hurts himself at Kawi. Prado leaves Kawi - wins SMX championship. Kawi is the common denominator.

correlation is not causation. If Sexton had it so good at Honda & KTM- why did he leave instead of getting new contracts to stay? HE is the only constant with wanting "new starts" every couple years.

Chase is a head case. Just look at his track record with teams over the past 5 years.  Prado proved that he’s good on a KTM.  Has he won on anything else?  Team Kawi has it’s issues but they are not the train wreck some people think they are.

Did anybody ever ask Chase about his one year option out he has in his contract.
That was put in place as a safe guard.

Instead we have all the clowns thinking he’s breaking a 3 year contract.

Astars & Oakley don’t care if he riders for Kawi. His Monster deal was the personal/helmet deal. That can follow him to any team.

since we’re still speculating.. around the 26:00* mark they start talking about a 4th rider potentially going to hep. “they’d have 4 of the top 10 contenders".  genuinely who else could he be talking about other than sexton? yea who woulda thought theyd have the space for a 4th guy but before that around 25:30 they mention 3 rigs next year and like someone mentioned with that new sponsorship it could add up budget wise. especially with kenny jason and barcia on the way out soon. their contracts might not be too big for a 4th bike and to counter that chase would be too expensive, maybe he wont be, at least next year, since they have to do a buyout and hes kinda out of options. who knows, maybe he’d accept almost anything just to get off the bike like prado did.

ps i put the wrong timestamp on a previous comment my bad

Weimer, Anderson, Tomac, Prado & Sexton all might disagree with your opinion on Team Kawasaki.

Exactly, you don't win 2 SX mains if the bike isn't good.

what do they have in common, besides not winning titles there?

reality is there's a brand new bike this year so no apples to apples comparison vs. last Kawasaki chassis until maybe we see all the mag test ride reports out. script will flip if the bike is universally rated well by rider reviews.

Anderson made numerous podiums on the Kawi and ET dominated on one for multiple championships. Sexton won 2 SX mains this year.  Kawasaki was working their asses off for Prado and Chase. Hell, they let Chase bolt on Kitchens suspension. And Weimer? Give me a break, what did he do after he left Kawi? Every brand without exception has struggled with set up for their top riders. Except in those cases the riders kept working with their team to get it figured out.

Maybe Kawi used to be more rigid, but they're not now. Chase has always been a head case. Look at the bridges he burned at Honda and KTM.

Weimer: Left the team 12 years ago.  12 years.

Anderson:  Had ups and downs with Kawi.  Same as he did before and after Kawi.

Tomac: Umm, he did pretty damn good didn’t he!

Prado:  What else has he been won on other than KTM?

Sexton:  Is Sexton.

I would agree with this 100%, if Prado didn't have the same issues last year.
