Man sad times for the fastest man in the world.
IMO they were the catalyst for brands stepping up into athletic materials/fit in this generation. Sad to see them go.
When Mookie left I think the writing was on the wall..
Bummer though
RIP

Word was that he didn't even get his win bonus after his Tampa SX win
Probably didn’t wanna take it, if his brothers company is going under..
He got plenty of James money though out the years.
James not doing the popcorn thing over this...
All kidding aside ...what a bummer
I thought that he had sold the majority of the company several years ago. I guess not.
Without a strong sales force and national distribution like WPS or P.U. it's tough to get large dealer stocking orders. Lots of brands to choose from as well. It's very easy to get lost in the crowd.
Do people still buy at dealers?
Nope. They tried consignment for a while. I know some dealers took it on. Sell through was abysmal.
The skinny jeans era is over. Supertight gear era is over too. Selling online without dealers is pretty hard too, to actually profit from. Online shoppers tend to order the closeout 50% off gear, then they wont order if they dont get free shipping… have you seen how much it costs to ship now? so there no profit from them. I know someone who started an Amazon store selling gear thru amazon, he said he said he had a few million dollars of sales and only netted maybe $20K from it all. Look at FXR. I dont see how they make any money. If youre wearing FXR right now, did you pay full price for it? You probably got 50% off. No one pays fulls price for FXR gear. If you want to be “sponsored” by FXR just ask them, any noob beginner can get 50% off their gear.
Wow, I'm old and out of touch! Sizing and returns must be a bitch for both sides.
It's a shame. They definitely helped pave the way for modern gear as far as fitment goes. I still think their more simplistic colouring etc looked the best.
Bound to happen, that's a heck of a tough industry.
Seven, Alias, SMP, lbz. No fear, Stiffie, Shift ( though it wouldn't surprise me to see fox bring that back at some point)
list goes on and on.
No fear is back and looks great.
Can we get AXO back?
Pit Row
They're still around.

Yeah but the US distribution is no longer.
Leave it in the past lol
You would think that James has plenty of cash in the bank but his house gets foreclosed on and now this. Makes you wonder if he blew through a lot of it and wasn’t smart with investments.
100%. And owed a lot of people money to boot.
Mathes was saying I think one of Bubbas houses foreclosured or some shit. It was a while back but he was saying that might be the only reason we’re seeing James at the races. I sure hope he’s not having financial issues.
there was a thread about it here with the listing awhile back. had the JS7 mantle and everything.
News has been circulating a while that 259 is not doing too well financially post-mx. It's just my comment based on prior Vital posts seen here and some court record searches that first appeared here. Hope this is all BS.
Yep, and Alias is back too, but they both left for a good while.
Bummer. They had great styles
Idk why James doesn’t do some riding. The fans would love it plus it would have been the best free marketing for Seven but who knows
I could have sworn I heard JT say on the review pod that JS7 flew private a couple of time this year to the races.
