Governor Arnold Added a reply to Prado/Prada

You may be onto something when you mention the starts. Looking back at the first three rounds of 2025, he was starting around 8th-12th. Looking at how he handles a start like that now is interesting when thinking about his results last year.

That could definitely be the case. It's an interesting philosophy for a top rider. I feel like if it was Tomac, there's no way he lays up just because of a dnf. He would be going for race wins.
Surprised no one caught that in the press conference.

You bring up a good point. Looking at it through the lens of him wanting to contend for the championship puts it in a different perspective. It felt like expectations were pretty high coming off of supercross into outdoors. Even if you add full points for the moto that the bike blew up, he's still 4th in points and over...

Prado won’t push unless he feels comfortable whether that is bike, track, traffic, etc. Even so without the blown engine last week he would be third in the series right now. I don’t think he has anything for Hunter or Jett. With how good Lucas looked it makes me wonder if part of why Prado came to the US was to get away from Lucas.

He started around the same position as Lucas in the first moto. Interesting to see the time differential between him and Lucas by the end of the moto.

What’s up with Jorge He came out swinging at pala but these past 4 motos have been underwhelming. Didn’t watch a lot of him in GPs but from these motos it seems like if he doesn’t get close to a holeshot he just kinda mails it in? I wanna see him in the mix! Dude can ride!

You can downvote him all you want but this is about as solid of an analysis as you are gonna find. Good take here @Radical.

Eli took the inside line in the previous corner that led to the outside line in the following corner. He decided to take the inside line in the following corner instead, but Marchbanks was already there. At the same time, Marchbanks was railing the outside line in the previous turn, and accelerated quickly coming out of the turn, then naturally was going to take the inside line, but Eli was there. It seems both riders saw each other too late to back off. The track builders should've kept the 2 lanes separate like they've done many times at Daytona. Of...

Governor Arnold Added a reply to WTH Tomac??

Sexton was ahead of Justin Cooper and six seconds up on Tomac when Tomac went down. This race was definitely an indication of progress for better or worse for both Chase and Eli as they did start close together. Chase was around 23 seconds behind the leader at when Eli crashed and he was 12 seconds behind, challenging for third...

Governor Arnold Added a reply to Matthes dislike for Prado

This is definitely a fascinating storyline to watch as it continues to play out. Steve Matthes is an interesting character with a lot of good connections within the teams across the paddock, from factory levels to privateers. His following is validation of his ability to draw peoples interest. One point of interest in this is the rhetoric around Haiden having...

That's a good summary of the track build and consequently, the dynamics as they played out in relation to the level of dificulty involved for the elite riders to make up time. Tomac's mistake and endo is probably evidence of how hard they were pushing.

With the win from Sexton this weekend, can we finally put to rest Prado blaming the bike? It wasn't the bike George!

You bring up good points. Interesting too that both Chase's Kawi and Prado's KTM are both running suspension that is new to their programs for 2026. Its arguable that Kawasaki winning with Chase and Prado's improvement on the KTM could both be credited to these suspension changes.
