Yes, well done, and he is one step closer to be discussed in the same sentence as Reed.

Oi,oi oi.

Nope. I don’t think wins are more important than championships. In fact, my point was on his first attempt, Jett has already matched Reed in outdoor championships and if he wins the next 2 races will have also already surpassed Reeds outdoor wins too. Again, Jett did this to Reed’s outdoor legacy in his first and presently ONLY attempt at the 450 motocross championship. That is a bomb.

And I said we’ll see how Jett does in Supy in ‘24 against a well rested, healed and starving ET3.

Yep…but do you image for a nanosecond that Jettson would say anything about the bike that just let him go 18-0 for a championship? Hell no! But again, like someone said earlier, his style is so different than Ken’s or Chase’s…he might truly feel comfy with things those two don’t.

Fully disagree. Wins trump championships. It’s racing. I don’t care if you finish your whole career with 20 championships and 10 wins. I have more respect for someone with 100 wins and 2 championships. Racing is racing. Racing is about SPEED. Who’s the fastest. That’s why you watch. You don’t cheer on 2nd place every weekend because he has the points on lock. Defeats the whole purpose of having a “race”.

Championships pay the big money but we all watch for wins.

And you just said it , titles pay more,  bonus,$. Record books. Alot of people can win races, not alot can win titles. And i guarantee the teams want titles.

I don’t disagree with that at all. That’s the industry. As a fan though you watch for racing. Who’s the fastest. You want your guy to win that day. You don’t sit around going man I hope my guy gets 2nd again today so he can get those points!  Come on.

And Jett might be better to work around the problems than the other two. It’s just funny when you hear the constant moan about the bike and everybody buys in to it, and now nobody talks about how bad the Honda is any more?

With how well their program and training is working, it's pretty cool they have all these young up and comers out at their place during the week.

That is commendable and will likely be good for the future of the sport.

Interested to see if he finishes off these last few in the same way, you'd have to be brave or stupid to bet against him. What a season.

That is my point. He has matched Reed’s outdoor legacy in his first go at it. Jett is coming for them all.

Different scenarios but not since MC in 93 has there been this much of an opportunity for a run of dominance. Let’s wait till we see him in SX but all of his main competition sans Sexton is older. AC and Forkenr who where the great American prospects have been completely injury riddled. As much as we joke if Deegan keeps his improving it could be up to him to to challenge Jett and possibly Lucas Connen but we haven’t seen him ride SX.

Obviously starting with Hannah, RJ and Thru Kenny his biggest challenges may not be competition but in staying healthy. Which is why anyone that compares him to RC already is incredibly pre mature.

Congrats to Jett Lawrence, best rider on the best bike of 2023, absolute dominance for Team HRC. Can't wait to see what Honda has in store for the 2024 season.

Anyone know if Chad has congratulated jett? 😆😂 it’s quite amusing listening to some of his comments over the years about the state of Australian mx and the talent coming through. All of a sudden it’s happened and we get crickets.
