The pro rulebook is clear and concise regarding red cross flag violations and the consequences thereof. There is no mention in the rules regarding when in the race it occurs.

Its extremely clear what should be done according to the rule book, why it hasn't been done already is just the AMA being the AMA........ That screw up totally changed the outcome of the race and it needs to be made right. Joe won, no ifs ands or buts. Brown and anyone else who jumped on Red light had no idea if a there is a dangerous situation on the track or not. The red light must be observed and honored. The win must be taken away and anyone who jumped on red must be docked.

I usually dont weigh in much when the AMA shows their ass. But, holy shit, is this completely fucked. Jo should have ignored the lights?! I'm sorry, what?! Setting a precedent that the riders needs to calculate whether to ignore the red lights in split second instances in the future? Bravo AMA. Bravo

This is simple. Pierce Brown made a pass for the lead when the red lights were flashing and he jumped when he shouldn't have. You're not allowed to win like that. Jo deserves redemption.

Nope... still say provisional online. (instagram is not the official results posting platform, the results page is) BUT It also currently isn't showing any points for Shimoda... so it's likely being updated now... It would be VERY odd if they gave him points for a position he didn't earn as opposed to taking points from those who jumped on the red light.

This is obviously all speculation and I could be dead wrong but to my eye: Our boy has a big honkin long ass torso and shorter arms and legs by the look of him which makes his weight distribution way front heavy all the time. I share similar proportions (though I may be slightly heavier than he is) and am a setup nerd so this problem is near and dear to my heart. You can change the suspension to compensate for this problem but in my experience it is always an inconsistent compromise. Moving his body weight further back on...

I'll say something positive, I did like how he pointed out the one inside line Joey and Malcolm were taking in the heat wouldn't work for 250 guys not being able to grunt over the table. Some of us could figure it out on our own, but it was good insight and wasn't "woooah, hold onto it!".
