6/7/2026 6:19pm He just rides very over the front and it forces him to chase a setup that can’t be obtained. He needs to spend some serious time changing his technique and position on the bike

ZachS Added a reply to ISO/WTB 2001 rm125 or other 47mm Showa fork springs in .51kg rate
5/19/2026 7:11pm I am having a hard time finding specific fork spring length info for the rm vs other models with 47's, I wouldn't be surprised if they are a different length as you say. I may need to just tear mine apart and measure them

5/19/2026 3:43pm Im 220 pounds and i'm setting it up for A level Moto; I do agree they still might be a little stiff but I tend to weight the front a lot so im still willing to give them a shot. I have found that getting my suspension right takes some trial and error anyways so this is just a starting...

5/18/2026 11:09pm the internet says .48kg for 2012 rmz450 stockers so no go there, thanks for the thought and reply though brother! it is a lot of spring but race tech seems to think they are what is needed to support my fat ass. Not going to be the fastest dude at the track on this scooter but that's alright haha

5/14/2026 10:53pm looking for a set of .51kg fork springs for a 2001 rm125 with stock 47mm showas. If you have a set and want to let them go for a good deal let me know! don't want to pay $150 for a new set lots of bike had these forks so early cr/crf springs should fit along with many years of...

ZachS Added a reply to lets keyboard mechanic chases bike
2/22/2026 12:05am This is obviously all speculation and I could be dead wrong but to my eye: Our boy has a big honkin long ass torso and shorter arms and legs by the look of him which makes his weight distribution way front heavy all the time. I share similar proportions (though I may be slightly heavier than he is) and am...

1/21/2026 2:20pm Another vote for the RK gbmxu chain, they seem to last forever and are very lightweight with minimal growth. I run primary drive steel sprockets as they are the cheapest I can find in 53t. I am having a hard time justifying going to a better sprocket, you can buy many $22 steel sprockets for the price of one higher...

12/12/2025 3:21pm Alright you lightweights, 68 years old, 266 lbs. I just went to Glen Helen yesterday. I rode about 30 minutes total and was spent. I graduated from my fire academy in 1981 at 190 lbs, about 6'1. I looked skinny back then. I really believe I have real good bone density. I only ever broke one bone riding or racing. I was as high as 290 but have slowly dropped, like over 4 years. I was diagnosed as a type 2 diabetic and am on metformin and just started mounjaro (GLP-1) 10 days ago. . I'll take full accountability for...

12/12/2025 3:18pm This is the best encouragement we can give to our moto brothers. I am short, only 5’5. I quit riding around 09 and gained so much weight. Boredom, depression, no hobby like MX. In 2023 I was at my worst. 247LB. I ruptured 3 discs and budged 2 others in a work accident. I was fat, injured, helpless. I hated feeling that way, like a burden to my wife and kids. While recovering from surgery I was reading the 2023 450 shootout and told myself it was time to ride again. I needed motivation to get off of the couch...

ZachS Added a reply to Let's hear your bars
11/19/2025 12:12am I have tried many bars over the past few years, 821, 827, 839, 996, Carmichael, Husqvarna stock, Windham, Henry reed, sx race, odi champ and quite a few more. Could not find comfort on most and I kept trying to force myself to like certain bars that I thought would put me in an optimal riding position but I kept...
ZachS Added a reply to FCP race cups vs offset triple clamps
10/31/2025 10:01am Just found this thread and wanted to give some feedback to anyone trying to make a decision about the race cups. I have had them in a 2019 350sxf for around 30 hours of riding (all off-road, woods and desert) and have tested with and without them one weekend to the next and they give a very noticeable difference in...

4/22/2025 7:29pm Thank you to those that helped with suggestions! Posted above is the setup sheet i was searching for. I contacted a few suspension tuners and got nowhere so i emailed WP directly and they actually were super helpful and sent over exactly what i needed! Surprising for sure, wish i had talked to them sooner Id love any observation on...
