Gross negligence is very much an overstatement but I can guarantee you nobody on that medical crew is proud of how quickly they attended to him.

For what it's worth, because I feel we all want to hear some good news about Barcia. I just went on instagram and mxa's update states he "can feel and move all limbs."

I think this shows that the first medic who came out didn’t even see Barcia. The other riders, bikes and track worker were blocking the view. Like someone said above, the medic doesn’t leave the patient. I saw a friend break their wrist once and nearly bleed out from it.

Perhaps Mookie being the first downed rider that the other riders would encounter on the next lap dictated that he get seen to first, especially being in a blind spot.

Just curious what the keyboard medics think the difference in outcome would have been if medical personnel were attending to Justin faster? Would his injuries be less? Would his recovery time be quicker? Was the “scene” secure or did it in fact need personnel to block before attending to Justin. Sounds like reports from riders that he was laying there for a long time after the red flag while medical personnel treated him properly for the suspected injuries. I will 100% agree that it looked like the first time that track worker had ever picked up a bike.

To be fair to FELD/AMA it probably seemed longer than it actually was and the first medic was taking care of Mookie and the others getting as fast as they could to barcia. As for the official he probably would of done more harm than good by trying to help. Just a tough situation that’s impossible to get right. If the medic went to barcia im sure everyone would be losing there minds that Mookie was unattended. Impossible situation that just sucks. Hoping Barcia and Mookie are ok.

Don’t think so…. He was TQ by over half second. I think he just had an off night. He spun on the grate on the restart and was basically dead last going in to the first turn. Don’t think the 40th to 1st is something to expect from any rider to repeat….

I'm a Sexton fan. But that performance was par for the course for him. I wouldn't blame the bike. He's done the same thing on every bike when he lets pressure and excitement take over.

I doubt he will care, he was clearly the 3rd best rider on the track, I’m sure he will sleep like a log tonight

He did fall after running over Mookie!! Nothing hurt. But had a front brake issue right after the restart.

Without a doubt they are told not to touch riders and that's the way it should be. Their job is get a tough block or bike stood up and protecting the rider. There was a medical guy there he just fixated on the wrong person. No idea why it took someone else so long to get there.

I don't know either but maybe there's an understanding that the track guys don't touch the riders and to leave them for the medics.. but even so you'd hope a medic would be closer but I guess they can't be everywhere.. That section was dumb anyway, a rhythm around a corner before a triple is asking for trouble.. It all started by Kenny jumping 'across' in front of Mookie and spooking him, not suggesting it was either of their faults just pointing out the sequence Saying that there was only one problem there all night

I get the impression that Sexton struggles to setup a bike, both with a base setting and changes through the day. However he’s not the first fast rider with that issue and won’t be the last. How the team manages that will be critical.

Chase looked great early in the day but as soon as the immediate surface loam got pushed out whatever settings he had fell to pieces... Not easy to tell given how little footage we had but I saw a couple of occasions where he was losing the front. It's hard not to make direct comparisons with Prado - the 2 situations are inextricably linked in the minds of fans. Difficult to say Jorge hasn't drawn first blood against Kawasaki...

Thats honestly my point. I always said Sexton looked the best on the ktm that he ever has. His mx championship was domination and he just barely lost to webb in sx. His championship on the honda was a gimme after the freak tomac injury, on the ktm he battled webb to the last round and just barely lost it. Yea his absolute top speed was higher on the honda, but he crashed every other race, it was never something that was sustainable.
