And Sexton looked terrible tonight. I wonder if he does any interviews, I'm interested in hearing what he has to say. He said his new thing is positivity, so i hope we hear what was going on.
Thats honestly my point. I always said Sexton looked the best on the ktm that he ever has. His mx championship was domination and he just barely lost to webb in sx. His championship on the honda was a gimme after the freak tomac injury, on the ktm he battled webb to the last round and just barely lost it. Yea his absolute top speed was higher on the honda, but he crashed every other race, it was never something that was sustainable. As a total package he was the most complete rider weve seen on the ktm. I didnt understand what he was so unhappy about. He was unhappy on the honda too tho…

Not easy to tell given how little footage we had but I saw a couple of occasions where he was losing the front.
It's hard not to make direct comparisons with Prado - the 2 situations are inextricably linked in the minds of fans. Difficult to say Jorge hasn't drawn first blood against Kawasaki...
Everyone is always dissecting Sexton. It’s his first race on the bike. I’m sure they missed the mark on setup a little, he made some mistakes and backed it off. Webb raced the 25’ because he was unsure on the 26’ and look how his night went. I don’t read too much into either situation at this point.
Chase gets a first race pass from me…Prado on the other hand shocked the shit out of me

I think it just shows the bike is really good. Hopefully chase wont blame the kawi if things get weird.
I’m wondering if Sexton brought his ktm shock settings to the kawi. Regardless he had no grip at the rear of the bike by the halfway point in the main.

I don't really care for Chase, but he'll be up there. Most of the issue is between his ears. Always is.
I get the impression that Sexton struggles to setup a bike, both with a base setting and changes through the day.
However he’s not the first fast rider with that issue and won’t be the last. How the team manages that will be critical.
Yep. And i think KTM was happy to let him go, they're probably stoked with the change in rider lineup.
He did joke with Lewis in his pre race interview at press, that Cullin Park said his bike was like Bluetooth - when it’s connected it’s amazing, but sometimes it disconnects and doesn’t work lol.
I think the shock issues had to be the biggest thing. When you don’t trust what your bike needs to do, that’s got to be pretty damn scary at the pace they are pushing.
In saying that, I think the Kawi couldn’t connect to Bluetooth tonight.
Geez how many off track excursions or major mistakes did Chase have in main, 5 or 6? Did not look good for bike or Chase. At this point looks like most the issues a Honda and KTM were more rider than bikes
The Kawi might not be the best factory bike out there. That’s a real possibility.
But Chase is a mental midget when it comes to the bike. Setup, feel, whatever you want to call it…his brain doesn’t have the right stuff to get whatever he is looking for and I’ll die on that hill. And it isn’t because he’s stupid. It’s because he’s searching for perfection where perfection does not exist.
I really like Chase. He seems like one of the coolest dudes alive and his talent is unreal. But how many times are we going to go to the same show and expect a different story?
He WILL win multiple races. He WILL be competitive at some point. He WILL tuck the front. He WILL consistently say they’re looking for something on the bike. He MIGHT win a championship.
Sextons bike before that was Jett’s bike, he will always blame the bike. But at least he was extremely fast no matter the bike he was on. He is all usless excuses . He motivates himself by blaming the bike, when he learns it’s him not the bike he will challenge Jett.
