1/11/2026 3:24pm The medic response time getting to Barcia was an absolute joke. Not the mention the fat track worker not having the slightest clue how to pick up a bike. Clown show by FELD and the AMA. video is disturbing, warning https://www.instagram.com/reel/DTWpn3djGG6/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link…

1/11/2026 3:24pm You are in the minority of people sympathizing with the medical response to Barcia. Logical fans of this sport look at that incident last night as deeply disturbing, and would want to put measures in place to improve that response for the next time it happens. You're right, the sport is ridiculously dangerous. We do sign up for the risk...

1/11/2026 11:07am Yep. I have personally sat in the crowd at an AMA-sanctioned amateur event and watched a child go down in a whoops section, followed by a failure to flag because the flagger was on his phone. If a child had been hit in that scenario, is that an "acceptable risk" because they're "gladiators"? Why have flaggers and medics at all if they don't do their job the best they can? Is the military wrong if they train extensively to avoid causalities and mitigate injuries because "it's war bro"? Should pilots "YOLO that shit" because flying is dangerous? F1, MotoGP, MotoAmerica...

1/11/2026 9:13am Well that would be piss poor planning then, wouldn’t it? Where should the med crew be on the first lap of any main? In the first 3-4 corners, where the intensity and aggression are highest, riders are bunched up on a narrow track, and everyone is sending it battling for early position. All we hear is how important the start is and how well Kenny dices through the pack in the first lap. But the AStars crew can’t figure out where to put their team(s)? Again, fucking disgraceful preparation and execution.

1/11/2026 8:58am I'm not coming after the sport dumbfuck I'm calling out the billion dollar promoters for having routine examples of giving piss poor medical attention to riders.

1/11/2026 8:51am I should know better by now than to meander into non-motocross related topics. The law will continue to do its thing, regardless of your attitude and perception of its role in society. I am extremely grateful that Justin Barcia appears to be OK. That was certainly not a demonstration of negligence. Just a demonstration of unpreparedness. The whole sequence of events was just a complete lack of coordination and protocol. Even the person trying to lift Barcia’s bike, for example. That person should never touch another downed motorcycle again until they’ve spent an entire week practicing whatever the fuck it...

1/11/2026 8:34am I’ve been saying this for years. FELD/AMA/AStarsMedicalCrew should, if they don’t already, Hold “After Action Reviews” or “Learning From Incidents” reviews as part of a Continious Improvement process for something this critical. This process is done at most major Coorporations in heavy industry worldwide Hold the review, access, what went right, what went wrong, implement change, do this week in and week, out religiously and things will get better, guaranteed. Same method for the broadcast crew…. It’s not that complicated or difficult

1/11/2026 7:29am The trackside crew was the first to start extinguishing the fire.

1/11/2026 7:27am I said the same thing. I couldn’t believe how long it took for anyone to get to him. My dad was over in front of the start around mechanics area and he had to go over there cause Justin was just laying there by himself. That was a joke. Unacceptable.

1/11/2026 6:38am Exactly. There’s no excuse for it. Look back at the Romain Grosjean F1 crash. In his crash the barrier split his car in 2 and exploded into flames. Despite the track being 3+ miles long he was responded to in under 20 seconds which saved his life.

1/11/2026 6:31am No medical training so won't comment on that part. However as someone pointed out that's a supercross stadium, not outdoors, meaning they can think about flagging positions, EMS circulation and so on while designing the track without any external natural constraints like elevation or whatever. That is an ideal scenario. Hopefully they already do that. But man, +50s to attend a downed rider in a stadium... this is not acceptable, so many witnesses around, I can't believe that's the fastest they could have done. And if it really is, that means there's a very serious issue about training, staffing, communicating...

1/10/2026 9:42pm Well I'm not filing a lawsuit buddy I'm pissed because I think the riders deserve better medical attention. If you can watch that video and think 50 seconds is the best response time we can give a seriously injured rider then carry on!

1/10/2026 9:13pm The first chapter in EMT class is about medical ethics and standard of care. Once you have your hands on a patient, you have a responsibility to stay with them until passed off to a higher standard of care. Whatever that FD(?) guy learned after moving Barcia (!) would dictate hold manual C-spine until help arrives. Yet, there he is standing on the side of the track while his patient lay all alone. Another notch on the A-Stars/Asterisk/Bodnar belt.

1/10/2026 9:12pm I'm no expert but I'll go out on a limb and say getting to a guy unresponsive having what looks to be a seizure is probably pretty fucking time sensitive. Genius

1/10/2026 9:09pm And then add the dirt digger almost sending Bams bike into him because he didn’t hit the kill switch… how many times are they just going to allow that to happen? Im sure the medic that attended to Mookie first would see this video and kick himself. I can’t imagine being in the situation, Im not a first responder so Im trying to have some grace, but it atleast shows there is absolutely room to improve on situational assessment on the staff/team there. Now the other complete lack of response and the dirt diggers poor decision making is ridiculous and...

1/10/2026 9:08pm Then get more medics. Get trained track crew. Implement a better radio system. WE point this shit out so it gets FIXED. You don't just throw your hands up like a fucking idiot and go "shit happens I guess" these promoters make more than enough money to have a better solution

1/10/2026 9:00pm I rolled my eyes at the title thinking "what now?", but after watching I'm in agreement. That was maddening to watch. I was scared his bike was going to whiskey into him when the track worker was picking it up. Anderson seemed like the only person who even saw Barcia laying there.
