I agree with this, he has bounced back from past injuries just fine. I mean he broke his femur in one of his first 250 sx races. Also how many would be out roadbiking today in 49 degree weather in the middle of no where in Illinois.

I won't even pay the increased peacock price any longer, lol, and I love this sport more than any other. I won't spend beyond my means. As a single father working a humble job, other things take priority.

Me and my girlfriend came over for Indy SX, it cost us $338 total for 2 tickets, as a one off going as tourists we can justify it, but realistically if they go up anymore we can’t. It felt like we were getting milked dry, the outdoors are better value imo

I had two club tickets for SX in Pittsburgh in 2025, pretty sure I paid like $300 total for both tickets. Looking at the same tickets for 2027 and they're showing $400/ticket, wtf.

If gas was 1.16 in 1983, then a $18 ticket is a ratio of 15 times the cost of gas for the premium seats. The same ticket area today is roughly $140, before taxes. Price of gas in socal today is 6.90/gallon. Todays ratio is 20 times the cost of gas for the premium seats. So factoring in inflation based on gas (which is a much more accurate reflection of the price of goods/services) tickets have gone up over 5 times more than they were 40 years ago.

iPhone, burkeen provides some really great footage and content. I don’t care if it’s an iPhone or a $6k camera, he gets footage and shots guys with 40k in equipment never will. Dude works hard, runs all over the track side literally running from turn to turn to get the angles and views he does. Some high end established outlets will absolutely not be running up the hills and up the jumps to get these views. But sure “the best” will remain. The ones “they” say are the best will remain. And so it goes.

I haven’t missed an A1 since 2007. This might be the first year I consider not going.
