I raced that race in n the 500 class. My son was a baby and I bought him this shirt. My daughter and grandkids have all worn it. I still have it.

That backward facing kickstarter would be a challenge, it may need a starter motor.

An observation on your gear/ bike colors… I started wearing all black gear several years ago, because of the color combinations that were just too busy for my taste. Previous to this, I use to wear various bright/ colorful gear. Fast forward to 2022 and my best friend and I, along with a group of friends were riding in the forest and my buddy had a heart attack and passed away on the trail. We got a helicopter there within 30 minutes and two of the guys in our group kept him alive with CPR, but he’d lost his pulse...

A lot went into saving these rare factory HRC side panels and Phil Cox of Plastic Restorations gave them a second life. The plastic seems a little thinner than oem plastic probably for some very small weight savings. I had to drill out the rivets and remove the factory air vents for the reconditioning. I measured the rivets I took out and tracked down the exact same ones from Japan.

The HRC side panels are back together. Unlike the oem panels, the HRC panels have hollow bosses on the inside that snap over the heads of the rear fenders bolts to hold them in place while you get the bolt for the side panel. I also put on the same handlebars use by the Japan factory team.. I have no idea why they preferred the old style polished Renthal handlebars, long after the anodized bars came out. At this point, I have replaced most of the replica parts with genuine HRC. Still looking for the 2000-2001 HRC prototype rear brake...

I like him as a rider. I don’t know him personally but from what I see I probably wouldn’t. People who love drama generally aren’t my favorite.

Not too much progress. I have a crude home built sandblast cabinet that I can assemble/disassemble in 10 minutes. I hate sandblasting. Got the frame, subframe,both hubs and handlebar done.

Also NOS euro side plates I will have painted white Along with a used front plate

Been slowly adding stuff on it. Just did oil change fluid flush and air filter, converted to Evans waterless coolant. Threw a 2.0 radiator cap on it New Dunlop mx34 rear and 3S front. As well as rear sprocket and chain. For the moment im gonna run the jgr plastics and graphics till I can get a full graphics kit done and buy a plastic kit. Later this week I should have a carbon tank cover and side panel protectors too.

How can you blame the prepper? He follows the book and it's still wrong, it's not his fault.

Sooo made a bit of progress over the last two days, went to pick up the engine and a few parts more. First of all I put the engine on the frame to take some measurements and sketch a few things to prepare all the necessary brackets for the engine. I will post everything once I’ve got it done. The tab for the brake pedal soring needs to be removed, along with the casting mark on the right side of the swing arm as it is close to the engune case. The engine is already open in order to speed...
