Also, I wanna say bummer and kinda makes me nervous for his SX endeavors next year. But what I’ve heard from literally everybody that has this injury is that it takes a year minimum to feel somewhat normal. SMX is an exhibition of course he’s going to look at the bigger picture. Though I’m sure there will be a lot of people saying that “no actually this IS the biggest championship” now. Fuck ‘em.

Damned if you do, damned if you don’t. He races: “oh guess he wasn’t that hurt after all!” He doesn’t race: “it’s a coverup for gifting Hunter the championship” When you start getting to this level of conspiracy just know you are kooked out.

Well, then they should penalize all the team riders that fall in behind the team member that is in the point lead like Jcoop did for Webb half the SX season. Or all the other riders that just move over for the ones that are in the title fight. I don’t support what we saw in the first moto, I’m furious that Jett not out in his best. But ”race fixing” is happening all the time in one way or another…

Has nothing to do with it. Why should Deegan or any other rider pay MXGP to race. Shouldn't it be the other way arouind?

Disagree. He has a better shot at learning the pace if he starts up there with them. Not many people can “pick up” the pace that much during a race with the current pack of leaders.

I expect he'll keep improving. The fact is that he's able to come through the pack on 450s the way he came through the pack on 250s is huge! He just needs starts and a little more speed. I expect him to find it.

Hunter also had 3 moto wins his rookie year. Also, go look Hunter was finishing well within 8 seconds off the leader in most motos. Isn’t deegan like, 35 back in some, 20+ in most? Hunter also got a moto win at round 3 his rookie season.

8/18/2026 1:34am It's really sad to see how MXGP has been destroyed. Once the most prestigious series in the world to now looking like a local district race. All because of mismanagement. You can't make excuses for this or not see it. And nothing against the riders or teams here, they are the victims.

because they don't pay quaiflying money or prize money anymore, when it was 1200 swiss francs to qualify for a GP the local pros had a decent reason to try,
