Also, I wanna say bummer and kinda makes me nervous for his SX endeavors next year. But what I’ve heard from literally everybody that has this injury is that it takes a year minimum to feel somewhat normal. SMX is an exhibition of course he’s going to look at the bigger picture. 

Though I’m sure there will be a lot of people saying that “no actually this IS the biggest championship” now. Fuck ‘em. 

The tinfoil hat crowd regarding Ironman on here can roll this up and put it where the sun doesn’t shine. 

Honestly the SMX races are a hard watch.. especially the ones at the drag strips..

That’s not how their brains work. This will just be another layer to their “truth”. 

The plot thickens...now we have Surgeons in Vail that are in on this fix, probably doing a fake surgery as cover up for Jett sandbagging the first moto.    All joking aside, I'm glad he is not going to keep fighting the ankle and has a plan to attempt to get closer to pre-injury.  Besides the daily pain, it had to suck for Jett to have his riding technique compromised this summer.  

I think he'll struggle more indoors than outdoors with that injury

Who said he’s going under the knife? I’ll be honest, I figured this was coming, it doesn’t make sense to risk further injury and wondered if it would take some of the prestige that they push each year away from the playoffs. 
 

From the Vital news article:  Jett is scheduled to undergo surgery Wednesday, September 9, at the Steadman Clinic in Vail, Colorado.

But it doesn't say what the procedure is, and Truck made a good point on that.
