Did you paint the frame? The coil mounts need to be bare metal for grounding. Did the bike run before you took it apart?

I doubt it. The mounting brackets on the Brembo will not match up with the Nissan on the Suzuki. The only way I think you could do this would be to have a custom fork lug made that has the proper mounting ears for the Brembo. Probably way to much $$$$ for what it's worth. You should put an oversize...

I'm going to be brutally honest with you....If you aren't confident you can qualify into the fast 40, you don't need a high $$$ race motor. The single most important thing you should be focused on is suspension. Obviously make sure all other parts of the bike are fresh and tight, but you are going to need lots of money...

Don't know the exact number, but you should have no problem passing that limit with a two stroke.

You need to be ready to put up a fight. I would guess they won't want to warranty something like this. They dealer may have already said in the email "this guy hasn't had the bike in for service" If I were you, I would get on KTM's website and start making calls. Tell your story to anyone that will...

You can't do that and just assume a piston kit will fix it. If timing, valves, spark, fuel, air, etc have all been ruled out, then your next step needs to be a compression test and a leakdown test to determine what exactly is causing the low compression. If you were running the bike with zero clearance, there is no...

He is. Motoconcepts agreed to haul Ben's bikes and needed parts to each round in their rig. This is awesome for Ben because that's less cost for transportation. Now all they have to worry about is Ben's personal transportation costs to and from the races. Don't need a special hauler or rig if it's just him without a bike.

Sounds like you had one or both of the cams 180 degrees out - this will cause the kickstarter to bind. On most bikes, when the piston is at TDC and the cam dots are aligned with the head, the exhaust came lobes point towards the front of the bike and the intake cam lobes should be pointing to the...

The Japanese manufacturers suffer from incumbent inertia. Meaning they are slow to change and respond to market needs. Each bike is considered a platform and they have to figure on "X" amount of years of only making incremental changes after a major change. The years following a major release recover the capital costs required to re-tool for manufacturing and process...

So your telling me the pants didn't touch any part of the exhaust and they simply melted due to the radiant heat? I can see in the picture that the pants have charring on them which suggests you came in contact with the exhaust.

Unfortunately, this is an error on your part since the pant came in contact with a heat source. This is not a manufacturing or product defect that was the fault of Answer. Should there be better insulation at that point....probably....but that's another topic. You could most definitely call Answer customer service and speak to them about this. In my opinion...

I doubt it. If the retaining bolt comes loose, it will be hard shifting into every gear, not just fourth like he said. It's most likely the shifting fork (#1 and/or #2) or the shifting cog (#7) has wear in the path that causes the stud of the shifting fork to hang up on.
