Agreed, that was an awesome interview. When I was at Oakland I saw Genova sitting in the Motoconcepts pits, so I decided to go talk to him unsure of what I was going to get. Turned out he was a really nice guy who was happy to talk about Mike's injury and a little bit about the suspension on Mike's bike as well. I know weird stuff seems to follow those guys around, but I honestly think they mean well and are nice people, hopefully Mike is alright after that scary crash last weekend.

Son of a bitch! I've been gone all day , so I have no idea what this thread means. Did Lamay get on at MCR?

Well I'll be damned. Just saw the video Gibby put up......great job MCR! Really cool seeing Ben get the help he deserves.

You have to hand it to a loon like Genova that invests (or throws away) millions each year doing what he loves to do more than anything. Gotta believe his heart's in it no matter what. Doing the "above & beyond" for Lamay is just another example.

I always got the impression that Genova was a good guy. Tony has just put him in a difficult spot a few times and he takes up for his team as any good manager would. Behind closed doors, I hope is a different situation but I think he handles it as well as anyone could publicly.

Good on him to offer to transport BL around.

Mike Genova seems like a really good guy. I have listened to his interviews before on the pulpmxshow. The sport needs more guys like him. I think it is awesome that they are going to be helping get Ben's bike to the races.

I agree. They seem like good dudes, but Alessi's Dad killed it for him right outa the gate with those ridiculous "believe the hype" shirts. Alessi running over to Tedesco's bike to turn it off before picking his own bike up. Sad to say but I believe Alessi will go down in history as the least liked rider ever. Too bad JLaw isn't still in the game - I'm pretty sure he could and would have taken some of the hate off of Alessi. I wish the team the best and always looked forward to what Alessi could do in the outdoors.

Moto is about going racing. Regardless of your personality, it's the passion of racing that is the glue that holds motocrossers together.

He is.

Motoconcepts agreed to haul Ben's bikes and needed parts to each round in their rig.

This is awesome for Ben because that's less cost for transportation. Now all they have to worry about is Ben's personal transportation costs to and from the races. Don't need a special hauler or rig if it's just him without a bike.

You can add that he can train instead of dealing with a lot of logistics BS. Good for him and well done by Motoconcepts.

Dude was super nice to my son at the races so he is alright in my book.

You may or may not agree with the way he has done it but there is no doubt the guy lives and breathes this stuff.

lol...Here's two riders who crashed and ended up with the same injuries. One quit racing outdoors. Pain is short term...Quitting is forever.

They've done that in the past. Only to lose them to another crazy drama scene. As a fan, I wish no ill will on MA or VF. I also certainly wouldn't mind if they just went away and were never heard from again. Between the laser situation and the Canada freak show, they are an embarrassment. The good does not wash out the bad, nor the bad the good.

Do you still hate the white sox for throwing the world series too?

Time to move on.

That's cool. I do feel that Mike could do well in the GPS with his starts and long flowing outside lines taking riding style.

This is a positive for the sport and both Ben, and Genova & T Alessi, and everyone involved, lets keep it positive, and not start the hate. These guys are trying their hardest, they don't need all the hate. I hope Mikey heals up and is back to racing soon.

This is just a feel good media ploy that costs them (MCR) nothing.

You guys just bought into it.

Genova is media savvy.

At least Lamay gets something out of it.
