I'm pumped that Wednesday I last minute decided to order up some tickets and make the trek to Houston for the opening round of the east coast! This should only add to the excitement/drama of the night. Who thinks he'll have the longest autograph line? I figure he'll wind up 7-12th at the end of the day. Hopefully he just makes the laps and isn't out there riding over his head.

I hope the kid stays safe, has a solid showing and builds from there. I commend him for going pro now, the sport needs more young characters in it with guys like Eli, Jason, Justin, Kenny, Marvin, Malcolm, Deano etc eyeing retirement.

Top five in the championship totally doable if he stays off the ground. Half the competition already wadded themself up so shouldn't be out of the question if he stays healthy.

You’re missing the point, which isn’t surprising. Does he make more progress racing actual professionals, on professional tracks in stadiums in real races, or spinning laps on the practice track for the next 4 months? if you know something that basically every other pro who has weighed in on the subject doesn’t, we’d love to hear it

When you know every fast line on the track like the back of your hand, eventually your speed is going to plateau. Deegan will benefit more from going pro and experiencing different track designs and dirt than he will racing a familiar practice track no matter how fast the guys he rides with are.

A lot of grown ass adults here are hung up on some really silly semantics. Who cares what his nickname is, or how long it sticks with him? And why is it important if they call it his pro debut, his pro SX debut or his very first ever pro super duper motorcross professional debut for the first time ever?

The only way to get faster is to race faster guys. He can't point out now so even if it takes him 4-5 seasons he is only 22. Half of the guys in the class are 25-28. Let's see where he is at the end of the season.

I really hope he just pulls a full & extremely average season of finishing between 6th and 3rd so people will just be like "yeah he is good" and just leave it at that.
