Andrew shows up on occasion to race a TORCS Hare Scramble here in Central TX and quickly reminds everyone the difference between a National level Pro vs a Local. Ha! His speed on a 450 in the woods is impressive. I’ve tried latching on during practice and I usually lose sight of him in very short order. Humbling for sure. As for the person, he’s always seemingly very gracious and friendly towards everyone. Never hesitates to stop and talk to the common folk. It’s a privilege anytime he shows to a local race. Great dude! Wishing him a speedy recovery.

You’re right. I checked the vault and he came just once before for LA 2 1997 and finished 7th of the 250 main. Not many could do that today. it’s a bummer how his US career went, he had some amazing rides but ended up on the ground too much. Glen Helen 1999 was fantastic!
