Why would they want to fly under the radar? The Deegan name is a lightning rod in the MX community. Metal Mulisha was/is a very good cash cow for the Deegan's and it has allowed him to provide for his family in ways 95% of us on here could never imagine. Love him or hate him, Brian has built a huge family brand for himself, and his kids and I do not think any of the kids would trade what they have now for the grind most of us do daily to keep our kids racing and riding. I was...

I am a fan of Haiden Deegan and the Deegan family. In my book, he's a good kid, who's taken the opportunities given to him and put in the work, for a long, long time. I wish him, and the rest of the up and comers a great career. I also like the way Brian and Marissa are parenting their kids, giving them every advantage they can to succeed. Isn't that what we all do? I don't understand how people can go so negative on a 17 year old.

This thread blows !! why do so many Deegan threads keep popping up with ridiculous accusations/ predictions ? Deegan is going to be just fine, he will make lots of money racing a dirt bike for a living. Daxton will be great too, but why are so many already talking shit on Deegan after one amateur SX race ? I’m willing to bet that Haiden will be top 10 within his first few races. Once he realizes what he needs to do, to be a contender, he will be contending for podiums next year. Give the kid a break and...

This seems like a hot take off of a single 6 minute + 1 Lap race. Haiden and Daxton have been competitors (and friends) for years. Great battles on minis. Dax moved up to big bikes for the 2020 season so he never rode SuperMini's at Loretta's or Mini-O's but Haiden did. Haiden moved up 2 years later so 2022 was his first year on big bikes and a resumption of things. So, Dax has been on a big bike much longer, but only been on the Star bike a few months. Here's recent head to head other than the...

I hope they both have great careers…that being said, Deegan has done tremendous work for the future of the sport. Kids like my 7 yr old son love watching the Deegan’s on YouTube- motivates him to ride. He will watch Haiden ride videos then go out and ride his bike..repeats this all day long on the weekend. Great mentor for kids.. He has also helped Bennick gain attention by featuring/tagging him in videos.

C.Brian Deegan used to sponsor star racing at one point. I'm sure he still has a good connection with Bobby Regan.

I'm not a Deegan fan, but he had me watching in the futures race. His corner speed seemed really good! Aggressive/attacking, but still flowing through them. I really hope any and all of the young guns that are joining the big boy class stay healthy. Good for them, and good luck to them!

JMB rode a CR500 at the VMXdN a few years back. He hadn't raced for years so it was a big deal. Very humble, didn't want any fuss, just quietly rode that thing round a GP track at warp speed. Massive throttle openings, high gears, it sounded like it was ticking over. Way to ride a big gun. Best of all were his lines, he used parts of the track no-one else touched and seemingly missed every bump. Talent beyond description.

Thanks for posting, mofomotojoe Roger D took the picture of me with with JMB’s Championship bike at the US factory Honda headquarters in ‘91. The picture was taken with a cheap camera I bought at a local 7-Eleven convenience store. I was racing the factory Honda, CBR 600 and JMB wanted to race my bike, but the AMA would not allow him to get a pro roadracing license without going through the ranks so to speak. Roger D agreed that he should not be able to acquire his pro road racing license so easily. Luckily I kept my ride. JMB...

interesting blast from the past. Disregard the cheesy music and ultra chauvinistic, overly dramatized French commentary. This video was taken before he wrapped the 500cc outdoors title. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=afpEXikjJaw&t=99s a couple of interesting observations: -loads and unloads bike himself. Tightens his spokes himself, fills up gas at the pump like an average Joe. Plays around up the hills and drops the bike " like " anyone else ( lol ). Drives a simple Toyota Xcab from the day. In other videos below he is seen eating regular food on the road. He also is known to swapping shocks himself among other...

I assume the fact this was released before the race again this week means Daniel is announcing again? I hope so. The guy is too good to be a track side reporter.

Looking forward to seeing Coty Schock and Tom Vialle (don't care how fast Vialle is or isn't, just want him to get through it). Also hoping Chance Hymas is back into the swing of things. Pretty bummed on Shimoda and Hammaker being out. I didn't notice Deegan was confirmed, I don't really follow them, should be interesting watching how things develop. Lots of fast young uns whose names I recognise also.

I looked and looked but couldn’t find a 100% answer if it’s possible without doing something crazy. Well 2 dirtbikes fit in a Ford Transit Connect and have room for to adults to ride in comfort. We got all the gear and everything for Houston SX in the van. We did put the air forks back on the “parts bike” and let the air out, but it will go without that. Letting the air out just made it easier.

I thought the same thing the first time I saw him ride and then when he won that Moto last year. very impressive, bike skill and talent. Title threat outdoors this year for sure.

There's just something about the way this dude rides a motorcycle. He rips outdoors and now he's got that confidence of being a SX winner just 5 races into his pro career. I guess with his relatively late arrival into racing he might even have a certain edge over his competition who have gone through the meat grinder of the amateur system. What do you guys see as his ceiling?
