Just something I’ve wondered, while racing every weekend (mostly) in the evenings, do riders train at that time or during the day? I am just an average joe, so take this as you will, but I’ve done a couple of later races and practice days and I just don’t feel the same as I do in the morning/ early day. I don’t understand how they could train in the day but when it comes to race time it’s all done later on.

The most humbling experience I received was when I was racing one of the local pros. (They put A, B, and C on the same gate due to low turn out.) He gave us a half of a lap head start and then he passed everyone and dropped us like a sack of potatoes.. And then failed multiple times to qualify for nationals. It is unbelievable how fast the top tier is.

Nothing more humbling than feeling like you’re absolutely flying just to have one of these guys pass you like you’re standing still. To an extent we get used to it, but to see the speed they actually go while being on the track with them is a completely different experience.

Outdoor testing in full swing with the week off. Ando, Barcia, Webb, Craig, Hampshire, Vohland, Vialle and a few more. Watched a bit in between my rides, was cool to see them shaking it down.

as a new jersey resident who is going to Metlife, go to nashville lol I'm also going to the Denver round as a nice mini trip which should be nice! But Metlife usually sucks imo its just my "home race" as the stadium is less than an hour away from me.

Any east coast race in an open stadium is going to be a roll of the dice weather-wise. Sitting in the rain to watch SX doesn’t sound like fun to me. That being said, I’ve never heard of anyone choosing to go to New Jersey on vacation.

Went to a restaraunt by Lumen Field, Jimmy's, and had a spicy chicken sandwich with fries which was rather delicious. Which moves me to my next point. I'm really glad I ate before I went into the stadium because prices for food and drink seemed liked legalized thievery to me. I did buy two of the lemon flavored alcohol beverages which were 24 oz and a bag of popcorn. The total came up to over $45 dollars, which is ridiculous. On overhead camera that was actually useful instead of a novelty. Someone must’ve figured out there is a race that can be covered better at that moment with the moon camera. Advanced production skills unreplicated in the US.
