I might have a chance to get to an eastern race, just wondering which venue would be better?

Thx

Nashville by a mile. Better weather and it’s right downtown Nashville so plenty to do. Make a weekend out of it it’s a good time

East West shootout at NJ

You can probably find something to do in NYC

Nashville. NJ/NYC is a dump.

Any east coast race in an open stadium is going to be a roll of the dice weather-wise.  Sitting in the rain to watch SX doesn’t sound like fun to me.  That being said, I’ve never heard of anyone choosing to go to New Jersey on vacation.

New Jersey is way closer to me, but if I had to make a choice between the two, its Nashville all day long. Nightlife after will be the best you can find

If it matter to you,  Nashville is a day race. 2pm start time.

as a new jersey resident who is going to Metlife, go to nashville lol

I'm also going to the Denver round as a nice mini trip which should be nice! But Metlife usually sucks imo its just my "home race" as the stadium is less than an hour away from me.

Nothin compares to Broadway in Nashville on a Saturday night. Live music as far as the eye can see. Amazing race followed by a night on Broadway? Count me in.

I've been to both. Go to Nashville. Parking is cheaper and the (Pre-race/ post race) entertainment around the area is so much better.

Both facilities are open-air multi-purpose stadiums.  If it rains, both will be terrible.  The TN stadium is about 24 years old and NJ stadium is about 14 years old.  Neither are overly impressive compared to the roofed stadiums like AT&T stadium in Arlington.  I attended an SX in NJ a few years ago and it rained. And it was cold.  My kid was racing and was not at his best.  The day was not good.

We got lucky at the SX race they had in TN in 2019.  Rain was predicted, but it stayed away.  Hopefully that happens again this year. If you're looking for nightlife, the TN stadium is much closer with easier accessibility.  I was in Nashville last night for a music event and downtown was happening on a Tuesday night.

You sound like you want to go East, but if I were you I'd go to Glendale next weekend.  At least if it rains, you'll be dry and warm.

Nashville was a great event last time. Cool stadium, great weather, and if you like live music it's a bitchin place.

Agree - I would pick Nashville.  I have been there once (not for a race) but the city is awesome and the stadium looks great.  The night life is unreal and lots of rock music and of course country.  But really good bands that will surprise you.  Also some restaurants (not on Broadwy) have live music as well.

We used to vacation in Cape May for quite a few years actually. Really nice beaches and town. That being said, East Rutherford is no Cape May.

Thanks folks. Sounds like Nashville is the spot to hit, despite NJ having the E/W shootout.  Wife is into the Nashville idea more, too.  Would like to go west, but I live east and for a short vacation, I want to keep flights/airports as short as possible.

You should visit the Parthenon ,worth it,built scale for 100th yr statehood . Athena inside is massive. Built out of plaster and wood to start, city decided to save so rebuilt out of concrete.

And,hit Nashville now cause its headed the way of San Francisco , Asheville NC is same way, crime out the ass , urban outdoorsmen all over

Never been to a SX at either of those places but I have been to both of those cities. My choice would def be Nashville. I’ve really enjoyed my trips to Nashville/Memphis
