10/6/2025 9:13am Before the start of the 3rd moto today I needed to pause the replay for a minute. Then I looked at it , and anyone that knows anything about the sport knows there is a lot going on in this pic. So many championships , age difference , different path's in their careers. Kind of a sombering pic I think.

10/6/2025 9:06am If RJ rides safe and finished both Motos in the top 5 USA still gets 2nd. He sent it going for the win, they got 2nd. It worked out. Unless he beat one of the Lawrence, they weren't winning the event. Hunter and Jett cleaned house on the weekend.

10/6/2025 9:06am Without a doubt, Jo's performance ( throughout his career so far - not just this MXdN) makes him one of the Great Japanese riders - with probably, much more success to come for him. He just won SMX, with skill and honour, he just debuted ( outside of Japan, where I think he's done some off season Japanese race[s] on 450s) superbly on a 450, and, don't forget, just a few weeks ago, he won in front of The Head Of Honda, in the USA (I can't recall the Nationals name, sorry). All that makes me think Honda would be...

10/6/2025 1:34am Hey thanks for checking my math 🤓 My concern watching RJ try to catch up for the third time in moto 2, was moto 3. He's fit but that's such a short break between races. He squeezed out all his adrenaline and must have been exhausted for the final race.

10/6/2025 1:24am I love how much of this thread is people claiming that RJ is the reason Team USA lost, only for someone to show that mathematically speaking, there was never a chance they were going to beat Team Australia. During the race I was frustrated with RJ, but I actually just admire how he doesn't quit. MXoN is a one day event, so you can't settle for a low position and come back swinging the following weekend. RJ knew how hard it would be to beat Team Australia and he didn't show up to settle for second. The dude rode his...

10/6/2025 1:23am I think it was JT on one of the PulpMX podcasts who said, "Jo is the best Japanese motocross rider ever", and that it will matter to Honda. If you've ever watched one of the This Is Lawrence videos you know that the vibes are off the chart inside the Honda rig. The Lawrence boys seem to really be there...

10/6/2025 1:14am Lawrences aside, the standout rides for me were Webster - last to 15th TWICE, on a 250?! (and in back-to-back races too) - he is every bit a deserving MXdN winner. Also Pancar, a true privateer with a standout performance. Honourable mentions to Jo, Everts, de Wolf, Coenens - and Febvre who battled hard in that last race to get France on the box. The big hitters Tomac, Gajser and Cairoli (with a broken hand) also showed why they are revered. On this track, Sexton would have knifed the front a dozen times. Per lap.

10/6/2025 1:12am Top 20 best individual performances by points scored *in case of a tie in points, I have put the MX2 rider over the 450 for obvious reasons, and the OPEN over the MXGP because they are racing two straight motos without a break 2 = Hunter Lawrence 🇦🇺 4 = Jett Lawrence 🇦🇺 6 = Eli Tomac 🇺🇸 7 = Tim Gajser 🇸🇮 8 = Jo Shimoda 🇯🇵 10 = Romain Febvre 🇫🇷 11 = Liam Everts 🇧🇪 12 = Lucas Coenen 🇧🇪 14 = Maxime Renaux 🇫🇷 15 = Isak Gifting 🇸🇪 16 = Kay De Wolf 🇳🇱 (250)...

10/6/2025 1:11am J-Coop got second in MX2….on a 250 he hasn’t ridden since? up until the last 2 weeks. AND he had the worst of the 2 gate picks both motos….on a 250. That is pretty kick ass! …and DeWolf is fast as hell on a bike he has raced, and won an MX2 championship, for years. Great job Justin!!! . .btw…DeWolf is fast as hell and I by NO means assume deegan would have him covered. I do know DeWolf showed up for the fight, so if anyone gets to claim anything….it’s not deegan.

10/6/2025 1:11am All the Dangerous dorks being sour is so on brand... Deegan copium is at an all-time high in here with some of you. Fact is, at MXoN 2025, Haiden Deegan doesn't exist. Period. Lot's of speculation, shoulda coulda woulda... If my aunt had a dick she'd be my uncle. As an American, I am proud of our boys that actually had the balls/brains to be available and show up. We got 2nd place. Pretty badass with a backup team if you ask me. Tomac killed it. They should be proud. Huge props to the Aussies for kicking everyone's asses once...

10/5/2025 7:52pm Didn’t say it was simple. It’s just bench racing, relax. It’s a fair possibility Chase could have done the same as Eli or better in the MXGP class and Eli could have done the same or better in Open. None of it really matters as the race is over. On another note, did America have the oldest team? Not bad for a group of guys that used to be considered past their prime. It’s awesome the guys are racing longer these days on both sides of the pond.

10/5/2025 5:09pm I know what you mean, and I agree that Hunter was the man, but the MXoN tells so many stories, that’s what makes it so special. At least for me, the MXoN is definitely not only about the rider who ends up on the very top. Just as an example, Pancar, a true privateer, finished in fucking 3rd place. It was the moto of his life, securing Slovenia’s best MXoN score ever. Don’t you think that’s worth mentioning as part of the story too?

10/5/2025 4:16pm If you’re going with hypotheticals, then Webster doesn’t crash either race and finishes higher and we score way less than 19. See Australia only needs one different result while the US needs to change the whole team and results, probably easier to just accept it wasn’t going to happen this year. Best team won.

10/5/2025 3:54pm Lucas (2 + 10) and Liam (4 + 7) had 23 points between them, without Sacha's scores. If Sacha went 9 - 9, knocking out Lucas' 10th, then he and Lucas (2 + 9 + 9) have 20 points before you add Liam's 11. Give Lucas a 2 + 3 (5), Sacha 3 + 4 (7), Liam 3 + 5...
