On a factory ride, a bad bike could maybe make you go from podium positions to a top 5 or 7. What we're seeing is something more than the bike. I know he has talent to podium on any bike so we'll see if he gets it figured out.

If they can’t ask questions beyond what the teams release, what would be the point of media? This sport is uniquely weird about not discussing contract talks. As far as I am concerned they should ask. Nobody is being forced to answer. AP could have simply said something to the effect of no comment, and that would have been fine too. The really weird part is some of the moto media does seem to know things like where Chase and Eli are going and plays along saying these questions shouldn’t be asked. Just heard the RacerX review pod where they spoke on it, and I’m going to disagree with those guys on this one. The press should be allowed to ask questions about contracts, it’s up to the riders to address them appropriately, in my opinion.

Dude Tomac had a good start in moto 1 today. He was 4th by the second or third corner and would have finished 4th except Hunter crashed on the last lap and gifted him 3rd. Moto 2 both Jett and Eli had bad starts and finished 1-2.

Yes, Jamie’s time with us will be coming to an end in mid-July. Things change in our gig, budgets, direction, needs, etc. Jamie is a good dude, period. It wasn’t an easy or hastily made decision. He’ll have been with us for just about three years and he’s grown a lot in the profession during that time. I’m excited to see where he goes and continues to grow from here. I’m very confident he will find / build something good for himself. I know there’s plenty of people in our industry and even outside of it looking out for him...

I bought a new KX 450 last week at a shop that also sold Suzuki. I was surprised to see the Kawi was $8600 out the door while the RMZ 450 was $9900 out the door.
