Said he was told he doesn’t fit in the budget and they gave him a 6 week notice or something. Still part of VitalMX until I think he said July 15. The MotoXPod will go back under its own channel and socials and such. I figured there’d probably be some sort of formal departure closer to the date or something. 

It sounds like he’s got a couple ways to stay in the industry if he’d like or he has a regular job lined up as well.

Hes got 6 more weeks, then he's out. He seemed really bummed. 

Not sure who the mandarin is though. 

Is he doing anything for vital other than the podcast he was doing before he joined?

For those that don't know...The mandarin is just some dood...talks all crazy and looks all crazy..

I’m not full on dark nation I listen to his show occasionally  but he definitely seems like a genuinely good dude and puts his heart and soul into the sport and it’s very admirable what he has done to make his way up and how he puts up with Steve’s shit. If it’s true vital is letting him go I feel bad for the guy, it’s a terrible feeling when you leave your comfort zone of a stable job for something else and it doesn’t work out. Hope he doesn’t go back to digging ditches in bumfuck Texas 

No one knows who the mandarin is.. he just randomly calls into the Pulp Mx Show with super hot takes then disappears for months…. It’s a real head scratcher 

Let us just ask ML.....  Isn't he Mr. Vital around here?  Or at least the MX version.......  I only know of Vital MTB, Vital MX, and Vital BMX which has been dead for a spell.  Let us ask our current President for the juicy stuff.......

Yes, Jamie’s time with us will be coming to an end in mid-July. Things change in our gig, budgets, direction, needs, etc.

Jamie is a good dude, period. It wasn’t an easy or hastily made decision. He’ll have been with us for just about three years and he’s grown a lot in the profession during that time. I’m excited to see where he goes and continues to grow from here. I’m very confident he will find / build something good for himself.

I know there’s plenty of people in our industry and even outside of it looking out for him, and I’m trying on my end to help with his transition in ways as well.

He took a chance jumping into this gig and we took a chance on him. It’s been a good run and I really hope the best for him.

I mean this could be an opportunity for him depending on how he looks at it. These days eyeballs are currency and hes become well known within the sport so he could do any number of things on his own. Technology has dropped massively in price so for fairly cheap he could set up his own podcast if he wanted to. I’m not sure what his socials are at but I’m sure its not bad and you can leverage that as well. Ill be interested to see what he does, but sometimes in hindsight times like this can be the best thing that ever happened to you.

He seems like a nice guy. 

That would be cool. He could call it the MotoXPod show or something like that.

Trying to not sound sarcastic, but you know he’s had a podcast for years now? It was kinda how he got to where he is. Business cards and all.

You have to respect a guy who had a regular life and through dedication and hard work got into the industry he loved. 

I Tweeted to him last night that you could give me a guy as passionate as he is and I'll build my team around him. Shortsighted decision if you ask me.

the dude worked his balls off to get where he is now, and he deserved every bit of it. hopefully he stays in the industry, but if he doesnt do we see the pony coming back?
