I was watching the webb helmet cam of southwick and noticed they completely removed the switchback before buckley berm so now its just a straight away. I was wondering why tf they would take this iconic part out of the track so I looked around a bit and figured out they did it to put in a new vip seating area. Wtf! The tracks have all become way more straight than they used to be lots of pros complain about this how its making all the tracks super high speed cuz a lot of the switchbacks and slow sections have...

I can tell some of you have never been a father. At least not in ways that some Dads love their son or daughter. I agree that at some point you have to cut the cord, but maybe Chase still needs his father's support in certain areas.

Wait, people are bothered by his dad's post? Scroll through this site or listen to some podcasts, chase has caught far more shit than he deserves over the past couple of years and has had injuries questioned, including this one, repeatedly. Just call it what it is... chase has been accused of lying about injuries. Maybe I'm just too invested in my kids, like keir is apparently, but I don't think I'd sit back quietly if my kid was repeatedly accused of lying either.

Kind of an odd post from Chase's dad. Seems a little "not really his place" kinda thing. I get it though, hes defending his son (which i think is part of the problem for chase). Unfortunately its going to make things worse, the internet is full of vultures that now know that it bothers them. One thing you can sure say about Chase though, is that he has taken some big hits through his career and he keeps coming back. He's pretty damn resilient. That was a gnarly crash.

Minear read him like a book. Very impressive from such a young rider. That being said, Shimoda shouldn't be getting out smarted by a rookie. His race craft is definitely the weakest area of his skillset
