I have no horse in this race, I'm still on an ICE engine and I'm purchasing a new 350 SX-F next month. However, I think we should give credit to the innovations being made here, whether we like the direction of electric bikes or not. Traditional manufacturers haven’t changed many aspects of their bikes in decades, and perhaps seeing Stark make these kinds of advancements will push others to evolve and offer options that carry over to ICE bikes. Things like Stark’s chain adjuster, CNC hubs, better foot pegs, waterproof aluminum map switches, one-piece wiring harness, rethinking how we secure...

You brought up DV12, Tortelli, Langston, and Albertyn — but let’s be real: DV12 & Tortelli never won an AMA title. Langston took 3 years for a 125 title, 6 for a 450. Albertyn needed 5 years to win 250MX and was a crash fest early on. Prado’s 7th in points halfway through his first AMA season. Struggling? Sure. But compared to those guys, he’s right on schedule.

He’s not nearly dominant enough to win on a 125. James did it when the disparity in performance was much closer. I still would expect James to win on a 125 today against modern 250s.

Ride a YZ125 in final race. Win it and achieve legendary status. Lose it and was just having fun. He has the rest of his career to ride a 450.

There are two new bikes that I was disappointed in: I moved to Yamaha in 1997 when their YZ125 was a complete world-beater. Just a fantastic bike. The following year, I went back to Suzuki and made a move to the 250 at the same time. Between realizing how much the Suzuki handling was twitchier and the extra power, I hated that bike! As much of a Jett and Hunter fan, I am just as much a Chase fan as well. He rode great all day, and I personally thought his riding looked more mature. Very proud of his work this past weekend, hopefully it continues.

If it wasn't for a mechanical rear brake loss "while Leading" moto 2 at Millville, he may have TWO overalls in a row. He's the best 250f rider on the track currently. Been a weird season for Jo in 2025. If it wasn't for his broken finger in SX he may have won that championship, and if it weren't for Deegan knowing how to own a bunch of the early motocross races each year, Jo would be in contention. If he was 10 points or so behind instead of 2 motos, Deegs would probably be pretty nervous right now.
