It’s been probably about 2 years since Shift has had any new gear, sponsored riders, ect. (Actually it seems time has passed fast, it’s been since 2021!!)
Fox definitely still owns the name and when you search it on Google, it comes to a link that takes you to Foxracing.com but then it’s an empty link on the Fox website.
I’m just wondering if anyone on here would know exactly why Fox dissolved Shift?
I get it it’s just a gear brand, but I have a ton of nostalgia for that brand and gear. It’s iconic to me, and to be honest I always felt like I saw a lot of people wearing it so I’m not sure how it wasn’t profitable. It was “different” and “cool.” Only the coolest pro riders wore Shift.

i would buy that syndicate set right now if i could. if they would bring back the classic shift stuff from the 90s early 00s i think it would sell pretty good. same with fox/thor/no fear stuff. maybe its just me, but i love the older stuff.
I wore my 98 pants in practice because there was water standing on the deep sand track. Then only 85& 50,s practice the 125 class was on the gate. I raced to the gate no holeshot device locked down, no gate prep, no time gate was about to drop
. Still got aprox 14th of 25 mod 125,s. I Really like the way it fits & it Looks cool .
Probably cut the Shift line in preparation for the sell out to Vista Outdoors in 2022.

Ha, I remember having a pair of the very early Shift baggy pants, the ones you could zip off and make shorts out of. First time on my new 2000 KTM400, melted away the pants on my exhaust pipe.

Loved my shift gear. I always loved seeing Mike Cinqmars in it. He and Fro always made it look so cool. Pic from early 2004. My very first race at 19yrs old. Had to wait until I could fund myself in order to get into the hobby. Couldn’t wait to buy Shift gear.

I owned many pairs of Shift gear, probably my favorite gear. I have now had to move on to Fly.
I always wore Shift gear. I didn't want to look like I was wearing a clown suit with rainbow colors.
I had this set also. Man Shift gear was so good
97 Indy sx Emig had green pants with chrome shift on the thigh. It caught the lights & blinded ya , along with his speed he won easy that night. I hv the matching jersey never worn that matches my pants . I hv a ton of old gear 89 zebra fox, alot of Fox 97-99 . Sat I wore the shift pants with a 08,9 TLD blue camo jersey it’s baggy cool fit in the 125 class. I hv the matching TLD blue camo pants . I cut most of the hvy rubber logos off . Those pants hv a good fit & very durable material. Great for hard pack tracks bio foam in the back , good stuff.
True story... I thought for years that people driving stickered up Subarus around my town were moto heads like me. Then I realized Shift had the same logo as the Human Rights movement.
Turns out the cool old crabby lesbian lady at the library is NOT moto. 😆

I have a few sets of Shift gear. They are the best fitting gear for knee braces. Troy Lee and Alpinestars are just behind with tighter knee areas.

I didn’t get into the sport until I was 20. Never was allowed a dirtbike and always watched and payed attention to moto. Played all the games. Ect. I always wore Shift in the old Mx vs Atv games. Seeing Geico Honda and Ken Roczen wearing Shift, I had no choice.
I was a total goon on my 97 YZ125. I fully restored it though, even though random small things would break everytime I rode it. And it would put me out for another month because I didn’t have much $ and didn’t have much free time back then.
I was also a goon on my RMZ450, but Hanny had me convinced otherwise. I was 23, can’t believe that was 5.5 years ago! Time flies when you’re having fun.
Moto absolutely changed my life for the better, and I don’t know where I’d be without it! Absolutely love the Shift flame gear I wear every now and again. That shit was expensive!! 😂 but I’m so glad I bought it. They were starting to get edgier with their designs and I loved it.

Nissan had a SHIFT_ advertising campaign in the early to mid 90's. I always wondered if there was any behind the scenes conflict with that as well.

I always keep an eye out for a set of the 2018ish era Mexico gear in my size. Loved how almost all their gear was clean and simple, and I'm sad they're gone
