ISUCK@MX Added a reply to James Tweets

Yep, and lost 2nd place points, and maybe 1st, and let RV extend his points lead. Very big screw up on CR's part. That was no block pass, it was a block take-out.

ISUCK@MX Added a reply to 1-1 at Red Bud!!

After the first moto, she was walking along the fence at the ski jump with a mile-wide smile. I got to touch the fastest woman on the planet.Evil Her and Jessica were flying. All of them impressed me.
My unscientific, undocumented, and decidedly biased impression of JS vs. CR thru the years via post-race interviews: Erin Bates: "James, it looks like you picked up right where you left off last week, how was tonight's race for you?" JS: "Well, I made a few mistakes, but when I got out front I just rode my own race. It's all...
I took for granted getting killed in the corners by the good A riders at our now closed local track. But I got to where I could clear all the jumps at a comparable speed... until one day a guy from a neighboring state came over, IIRC, practicing different tracks for Redbud. Coming into the last turn before a 3rd...
I look at it like this. My first ever race at Redbud was when I turned 40. I got lapped by the winner, the local 'bud fixture and fast guy, in 5 laps (and got sprayed by the water truckTongue ). I figure as fast as he was (and is), he would probably get lapped by the pro mid-packers in...
This "straight up" concept, and especially between Chad and James, has always cracked me up. Everyone here who has raced much knows a guy who is marginally faster, and has consistently kicked your butt over the years (like James has done to Chad). Once in a while, the faster guy gets a horrible start, or crashes and loses enough time...

ISUCK@MX Added a reply to Is Dungey THE Sleeper in 2010?

This says it all about Dungey. Quite is not in his vocabulary. Well, quite may be, but quit isn't.Wink He will podium, maybe even win a couple, but, win the C'ship this year? Naw.

Anything's possible, but it seems like by the time these kids get to their 2nd or 3rd year pro, you have a pretty good idea of their future, whether it's injuries, attitude or behavior. Chronic injury is the saddest, 'cause the other two are entirely within their control.

Well, I'm just local yokel slow old fart, but here is my opinion. In this era, MC, RC, CR, and JS, and others have set high standards. Maybe too high. But they are who the factories look for. Hell, even if that is too much of a stretch, you won't see Dungey, Pourcel, or Weimer screw it up for themselves...

Considering how many kids get into riding, racing because of their dads, just how many tracks would there be without us old guys?

Not moto, but in '03 we were out in Moab for a week, one buddy had a new '03 yz450 and after a couple days changed oil. Apparently forgot to tighten one of the oil plugs, the one in the frame. 20-25 miles out at a place called Chicken corner, something like that, late in afternoon, he was in front...

I've got an '04 yz 250, and an '04 crf 450. I get to ridin the 250 and liking the hit, and the light feel, and the "flickable" feel, (although I don't really "flick" it that much), then I get back on the 450 and start riding it using the clutch more and brake sliding and feathering the clutch out...

Yeah, I'd never say Ryan's the next Ricky or James, but he's accomplished a lot in a little time. He seemed inconsistent his first year, but rode smart all this year, and fast enough. He just seems like a good kid.

Pardon me, newb here. I'm still grinnin' about Dungey. From B rider to pros, to 250sx and 250mx c'ships, to team leader in his first 450 race, riding the #1 Suzook in his first trip to Europe,in his first MXdN, finishing a respesctable 3rd behind the world champ, and AMA champ in his first moto, to winning his second moto...

I live a mile from a local track, now closed. On practice days before 4-strokes, I rarely or barely heard the 2-strokes. When 4-strokes came, different story, and i believe the major reason the track got shut down. There were economic reasons also, but the neighborhood coalition against us really came together when Honda brought out the '02 450. That's...

Well, that's easy. You unbolt it, stand on a ladder and drop it from exactly 10 feet(cushiony side down, of course), and measure how far it bounces. As a side note, I only use 'em if they bounce 3 inches or more. Any less, I'm sure to get severe monkey-butt. Ugly.

I want mine with the jet sound. Pull up on a dude, hit the after-burner button, "GET THE FOCK OUTTA MY WAY!!! 'Course, I could probly only pull this off on a 50 auto kid on practice day, I'm so damn slow...an' he'd probly crash... an' his gramaw'd beat the shit outta me... Eh, nevermind, I'm justa noob. I oughta...
