I think he’s Broken Mentally. Maybe He thought he was gonna come over here to what many think is a inferior series and set the world on fire and has found out that maybe American Motocross is no joke. I don’t know , but watching his rides as the series has gone on , he has no fight and just throws in the towel…. Zero intensity.

Every single time its someones last race from now on they will mention this moto. Jmart just entered rarefied air. -Also this just proves how much of racing is in your head. He was going to win this race and his brain willed it to happen.

This is going to be talked about for the rest of time. Every time its a top racers last race of their career they will ask if maybe he could “pull a jmart and rip both holeshots and win his last race ever”. People are always going to remember this. This is going to be one of those things you always remember that enters the moto trivia like RV holeshotting and winning mxon on the 250.

Even the best get to a point in their career when they just aren’t good enough. Eli has endured well past the time most champions hang it up. Lets not forget he was going to retire three years ago; those three years haven’t gone smoothly.

He’s past his prime. It’s as simple as that. I’m glad he’s sticking around for another season, but we’ll never see the Eli of a few years ago again. It’s happened to all the greats if they stayed in it long enough.

Bro the bike alone isn't the difference that he gets passed by riders that he literally lapped before.. Can definitely make the difference from winning and not winning, yeah, but the bike isn't the whole reason he all of the sudden drops 6-7 seconds per lap by the end of the moto. It seems like as soon as he gets passed now he is mentally done with the moto, very sad to see as a fan..

There's nothing wrong with not pushing your kids in to racing MX, but youth motorcycling can teach a kid all kinds of KSA's that are hard to come by at a young age and provide a good foundation for athletic ability and responsibility. I would recommend getting them on a balance bike around 3 then an electric balance bike around 4 or 5. This gives them a foundation and familiarity of balancing and working a throttle and brakes that will be very beneficial if they do get into motorcycles down the line.
