Is Eli over it?

I was thinking the same thing. Looks like he’s backing it down for the season.

I hate to say it but at some point he is going to cross that bridge in his mind. He looks like he might be on it.

Yea hes outside the top 10 now. Last 2 weeks looked like a step in the right direction. This looks like a big step back.

Fuck yeah Hunter

Please I hope they don’t groom the track inbetween motos. Its absolutely perfect right now and there’s not a single area that needs touching up.

Hunter is on rails right now. Great rhythm with the track. The rougher and more technical the track, the bigger advantage for both Lawrence’s. Same for shimoda.
let’s hope the idiots stay out of the dozer during intermission

Hahahaha. Prado blocked him once and Justin pulled him over like the highway patrol!

Dam the Hunter Bros have us covered. Maybe they need to go back to GPs for a challenge?

Yup, so disappointing to see. What's sad is that this kinda season could really screw him up mentally in the long run, he might never get the same confidence back.

Hunter looked a lot like Jett on the bike. He just had that little something extra.

Yes , and it’s time for people to stop making excuses for him. Over here he just doesn’t have what it takes to run up front and I don’t believe it’s the bike. No fight at all.

The old way was to get somewhat comfortable and then just ride the bike. I don’t think  Honda and the Lawrence’s are doing that. They are constantly evolving that bike and they are on another level. Those bikes are hooked up and react slow and predictable. Add in the solid technique and fundamentals and this is what you get. They even said they changed a shock again this week, after we heard they were comfortable 3 weeks ago. When have you heard a team continue to change major parts?

It's almost like the 80s again at Honda. They have things figured out big time.

I don't care what Prado says the bike isn't this bad. His attitude is what is bad, constant complaining and taking zero accountability and blaming everything on bike and he would be winning and on another and he just quits and gives zero effort

So what is it? Just forgot how to ride?

Or why is he getting passed by people that he beat by 2 minutes 12 months ago?

Gp’s won’t be much of a challenge. That would be getting demoted to a lower series.  A series that struggles with half full starting gates

How is it that we have all these bad asses in motorsport from Australia and New Zealand? What's in the water down there?

Well said… it seems that way. Doesn’t even seem to be trying. Nothing but excuses. Wait till Supercross starts too 🤦‍♂️

Yamaha not signing him when he was the best rider they had up until his injury in SX. Then he comes out and he’s the best they have outdoors but his setup looked off from round 1. I just wonder how willing they were to test to make the bike better.  Then the bike blows up. It just seems like he said fuck it, let’s stay healthy for the new contract. I’m not blaming Yamaha but you have to wonder how it went down.

Obviously the skill and speed was always there but I think the most impressive thing about Hunter is that he went from crashing A LOT and always being injured on the 250, almost thinking about retiring and then winning two championships and establishing him as super consistent and top 3 450 rider. Hope he has another good moto and finally maybe an overall!

He was on the best bike in the entire pits in MXGP. No production rule. MXGP, while still mostly rider dependent, bike can make a bigger difference than in the US series. It's a more equal playing field here and what shakes out is generally based on talent, not the bike.

Bro the bike alone isn't the difference that he gets passed by riders that he literally lapped before.. Can definitely make the difference from winning and not winning, yeah, but the bike isn't the whole reason he all of the sudden drops 6-7 seconds per lap by the end of the moto. It seems like as soon as he gets passed now he is mentally done with the moto, very sad to see as a fan..
