I bought an 18 and put in the race tech spring conversion kit. I was told these forks are actually a lot better than the old ones, I had a set off a 250f and still went with the kit. They actually work pretty good with stock valving this way.

Gotcha, thought you guys just tested there. If you ever need a nice and tacky track, I’ll be more than happy to provide one for you guys. I own DT1 MX Park in central Cali.

It would be interesting to see if the results would be the same if it was a tacky rutted track as opposed to a dry track with berms. When I used to go down to SoCal to ride it always surprised me how different the bike would feel as far as suspension and the way the motor builds power.

I was in the same boat, couldn’t justify it so I picked up an 18 yesterday. Still have a set of forks laying around for it as well so that made it an easier decision.

I have a 17 tc250, rode an RM last week and was surprised at the difference. The motor is much stronger across the board, handling and suspension were also much better. Actually, the Tesla doesn't really come with a charger. It comes with a plug that charges it 3 miles of range per hour, hardly a charger.

Difference is that he got up and finished second still. Seems like when they go down now they are done.

I run the x20's on my TC250, they last a lot longer than the MX3s and perform similarly. They aren't quite as good when it's dry, but it's worth the trade off. I didn't like the x30 when I tried it.

I think a lot of the jetting problems were due to the reed valve problems. I tried everything but it wasn't until I replaced the reeds and sanded down the reed block that i was able to dial it in. I have the jd kit and am fmf on mine. The jd gave the bike more of a hit which...

I put a Yamaha throttle and cable on mine.

Throw a brembo on there. I've done this with a couple Yamahas. You can find them on eBay.

Same thing happened to me, only at the top of the lip. Destroyed the cases and broke my leg. All because it saved me $200 when I had to get a new crank.

I run my psi at 150. The rebound is waaaay off stock, I think I slowed it down about 10 clicks. Forks are good once set up. If you run pressure too soft they will actually feel harsh.
