Deetsmx Added a reply to Rubber engine mounts?
2/7/2014 9:03pm My guess would be that the engine plays an important part in the structure and rigidity of the frame.

Deetsmx Added a reply to Mika Chains
2/7/2014 8:36pm I own cheaptearoffs. Paul's company manufactures all of my stuff and he is my brother, but it is a separate entity and ran entirely separately from DT1 and Mika Metals. We purchase our products from DT1 much like other companies do except I get to cuss at him at family gatherings if he jacks up our order.

2/7/2014 10:14am Let's get the original poster in here to clear this up. I have no idea who the guy is nor do I get a dime from the Mika sales. No offense man, but this post above is comical. Someone asked a question and I answered it, no need to put on your tin foil hat. I happen to have information...

2/6/2014 10:32am Yes, all the old chains were tossed. It was a case of getting good samples and then not having the same consistency on their production runs. The new manufacturer has been in business for a very long time and is well known for their high quality chains, not sure if I'm able to say any more about it than that.

2/6/2014 10:06am I was merely using an example. I made the best chain claim based on who is manufacturing them now and their history.

2/5/2014 8:16pm Brother, but not involved in the Mika stuff. The old chains were not up to par, the new ones are as good as they come.

2/5/2014 7:44pm They recently switched suppliers after some initial issues and I can tell you that at this point you would be hard pressed to find a better chain on the market. I put a new O-ring on my 450 about 5 rides ago and have yet to adjust it.

11/8/2013 7:39pm It's Smets. Stayed at our house a few weeks in the late 90's while prepping for the GP's. Super down to earth guy. Luckily by then he was out of the porn industry.

Deetsmx Added a reply to Mika Metals handlebars
10/19/2013 5:09pm There is a big difference in types of aluminum used between bars. Of course they look the same, there is only so much you can do with the shape of a handlebar, but the difference in quality will be noticed when riding or laying the bike down. Like the other guys said, it's a good bar.
