Heard the same thing from more than one publication, that it's not all its cracked up to be. I heard they put it on the dyno and it wasn't what was claimed and forks were no good. That's what I heard, don't shoot the messenger.

I currently have a jd kit in there. While it's better than stock, I still feel like it's lacking. I still had to go up on pilot and main from their recommendations. I felt that when I got it good in one area it would take away from another. I've been wanting to try a lectron for a while so...

My reeds are in good shape and I've got a new fmf silencer on it. I let the guys at lectron know the mods I did and they built it so hopefully it's in the ball park. It also is coming with a shorter intake and new throttle assembly. Should be here this afternoon.

I believe the latest MXA mag has a test on both, not sure though. I went with the husky because the styling, more flexible sub frame, DID rims, and different suspension settings.

Here is a pic of my stealthy air box mod. Got the plugs from an electrician, I think they are used on transformers. The stock jetting isn't really that far off, I was just playing around with it to get a bit more hit and top.

I've been playing with the jetting for about the last month. I ordered the jd kit and did a lot of back and forth testing between stock and that. I've found the jd needle on clip 4, 35 pilot and 440 main work good. Also, put some vents in the airbox, it's choked up stock. I ran a vented airbox...

It's gotta be something with your bike because with all the different jets it's never sputtered, just a difference in power delivery. I just went up to a 35 on the pilot with the jd, we will see how that works tomorrow. Seemed to work ok in the field behind my house, but hard to say until I get it...

How does it run with the Keihin? I order the jd kit but it does seem to lag a bit on the bottom now. These bikes are finicky, I'm shocked how much jetting changes the power characteristics.

I saved $200 by using hot rods. It then cost me a couple grand to fix my broken leg after it blew through my cases in the air after about 20 hours.

Do you know if the carb off of a 2004 kx250 will work? I found one on ebay for a decent price but it has a bunch of electronics on it, which I assume I would plug up. Debating whether to do the air striker and metering block or a lectron for my 2017 tc 250.
