and it said Husqvarna TC250
Here's the run down.
Jetting on 110 leaded (Cam2) with synth premix 40:1, sea-level ~85 deg F. (stock)
420MJ (440)
37.5PJ (42.5)
43-73 needle 1st clip (43-73 3rd clip)
Airscrew 2-2.5turns out (2 turns)
I ran out of needle. I'm on the leanest needle, top clip. Need a leaner needle. The diameter/profile is right, but I need a longer needle so I can drop to the 2nd of 3rd clip. For all intents and purposes however, it's as close to EFI as youre going to get with a carb. I am going to experiment with nozzles. I believe the nozzle itself is too rich, and by dropping down one size, the low rpm fueling issues could be eliminated. Similar situation to the TMX-equipped Hondas. If the nozzle ends up working out, i'll probably have to go up one size on the main and PJ to compensate.

21C 19R 147psi for smoother tracks, 144 when it's beat up. Tried leaving air pressure the same and dropping the comp, but that made it ride a little lower in the stroke, which I hate. so I left the comp alone and adjusted with the air pressure itself. Used nitrogen.
Shock
HSC: 1.5 turns out
LSC: 10out
Reb: 14
sag: 104
Shock is too soft for me, i'll probably end up going up one spring size.
Was shooting for 105-108 sag, but it wasn't tankslapping at 104 so I left it. The suspension on these is going to be funny for the next few months, because if im not mistaken the KTM and Husky have different valving and specs, and most people assume theyre the same, which throws the clicker settings way off between the two.
I went to a G2 ergonomics throttle, and all they had for me was a prototype. KTM/Husky went to basically a shitty fourstroke style throttle housing on these (without a return cable). The hot set up going forward, is going to be a Domino throttle off a 2016, with a custom cable for the TMX Mikuni.
I also went to a Midwest mountain engineering "clever lever" which is a MUST for anyone with a hydro clutch, regardless of the bike. it adds another pivot where the mechanism that actually engages the master cyl is, rather than just having one pivot. adding a fulcrum reduces effort by 50%, technically speaking. actuality in this case is about 25%, which on a KTM/Husky makes pulling the clutch on par with pulling a bicycle brake. theres just so little effort.
Will have the HGS/Bud racing pipe and HGS silencer tomorrow which is supposed to address the lack of over-rev.
it's not a firebreathing monster by any means. It's fast, definitely faster than a stock YZ250. the suspension is what surprised me. it's really, really good for a stock bike. That whole "I'd get a ktm but the suspension sucks" is completely out of the window. Put it this way, its better than a Factory Connection PSF2.
The real take-away is that this thing is so smooth, that if you, or your kid are racing Am 250A/B/C, this is a 100% viable solution. it's almost as smooth as a 250F, infinitely lighter/lighter-feeling, and a whole lot faster. I ran mine with the soft powervalve spring, and the medium, and both are very rideable. This thing will lug a gear tall, and still carry the front wheel easily. very torquey, lots of rotational mass. there is a fairly big gap between 2nd and 3rd gear. I'm seeing MXA was saying drop a tooth on the rear and that's probably the solution.
oh, and the stock brake pedal is for midgets with size 5 feet. Not shocking considering Sleeter was the main development guy.

Beautiful bike and loads of good info! Congrats on the new ride.
SWEET bike...this could be my upgrade from '13 250SX... Thx
The ergos. One word. Small. The bar that the Husky is spec'd with appears to be an RC (low) bend, virtually flat, or close to it. Much lower than the bar the KTM comes with. Not stamped with a "name", just a patent number, because it's a proprietary OEM bar. The Husky footpegs are mounted 10mm higher than the KTM. Or perhaps the mounts re the same and the pegs themselves have a 10mm higher pivot point because the Husky boys grabbed their KTM pegs out of the enduro bin. (I think that's what happened, actually )
The bars are also narrow. First thing I noticed. I've been riding with them because I've been more focused on jetting, which is a black art with a Mikuni. The ergos don't feel bad, but I tend to like smaller ergos, personally. But if I were 5'10" or taller I'd just put taller bars on it , versus buying the KTM.
The overall feel of the bike.. more flickable than a 07 CR125, easily. Such a nimble bike.
2 days and counting for me...
I really like the new design of the TC tho!
I like feel of the shape of a works connection lever, but hate the way ASV levers feel.
Pit Row
How do we get tee shirt signed???
Ups??
Congrats on the bike, btw!
I get mine tomorrow and look what showed up in the mail today just in time to break her in!
Enjoy that beauty.
