450s and 250Fs allow slow riders to go fast and fast riders to go extremely fast. This has resulted in higher speeds and more severe injuries. I'd rather everyone rode less powerful machines, speeds came down, less got hurt, and less got horribly hurt. It would be cool to make 250 the premier class with a 150 support class. Two or four-strokes are allowed. A 150 four-stroke in a YZ125 chassis could be a hoot. Also privateers racing 250cc two-strokes against factory 250Fs would be cool to watch. I’ve had this feeling lately that for local races we should all go to the Loretta’s model. Just age and no skill divisions. An a/b/c split for adults in increments of 5 years is so much. We’re adults. We can handle getting 12th against people our age. Also would make local purse money bigger

What is the fixed costs: Arm camping fee: Leg entrance fee/wrist band: Too Much class sign up: All this to ride three times? Awesome

They constantly have pre canned storylines they want to talk about like it’s a soap opera and then whoever they decided deserves story time they just follow that rider around to make the story seem relevant: this is done regardless of if that riders shredding, in a battle, on the ground, out of the race etc lol. They just talk like it’s a day time drama or a podcast rather than an actual race. It is infuriating. Mxgp treats it like formula 1 Ama treats it like it’s the Netflix drama show of formula 1

And I’ll add this ONLY as an explanation to wallet speak confusion…back in the mid-2000’s when the MFG’ers started phasing out 2-stroke technology in favor of the 4-stroke, fewer and fewer 2-strokes were available. There was a groundswell of opposition to the 4-stroke related to the higher initial price...
