Pulled the pin on this yesterday.

Not had a 'new' bike of my own since 2003, everything since then has been an Evo rebuild, or something that my sponsor has had at  the right money, while a raced his stuff which was way better than i could afford or justify.

2021 350 FS, with 4.7 hours on it. Perfect vet bike apparently, i guess i will find out tomorrow when the gate drops.

It still has bar code stickers on some of the parts.  Crazy clean.  And with that, goes my dream of a Ducati.  At 61, i think it will be fine.

Dayum phil, why ya gotta tease us like that?
Was expecting to see a shiny new 2-stroke!
Congrats on the new bike, but not really speaking with your wallet…Vital style anyway.

Very cool bike & looks in MINT condition! 👍❗️
Congrats & Enjoy it! A good ride buddy had that EXACT same 2021 FC350 w/the split side panel and he loved!
(Ironically, he only recently sold it and bought a Husky 250 2-stroke believing it will be his last ever “new” bike!)

And I’ll add this ONLY as an explanation to wallet speak confusion…back in the mid-2000’s when the MFG’ers started phasing out 2-stroke technology in favor of the 4-stroke, fewer and fewer 2-strokes were available. There was a groundswell of opposition to the 4-stroke related to the higher initial price, additional costs to rebuild them, louder exhaust note and several other perceived issues with them. As a result, the belief was that since the MFG’ers were apparently NOT listening to the vocal support for continued availability for 2-strokes…the ONLY way to get the MFG’ers attention & get them to “HEAR” the message, was for consumers to ONLY buy the 2-strokes that were still available!
Hence the consumer would “SPEAK with their wallet” sending the message that they would only be buying the “more desirable” 2-stroke in the future!

Thats how the whole “spoke w/my wallet” became a thing…by buying a 2-stroke, consumers are  telling the MFG’ers what type of bike we’ll spend our $$$ on! Hope this sheds a little light on the whole wallet speak thing! 😎 👍❗️

(Personally, I think as long as we just KEEP buying dirt bikes of ALL shape/size/stroke, they’ll keep building them & selling them to us! 🤪)

I think anyone who buys a bike is speaking with their wallet. 😎

I have a 24 FS 350. I can tell you it is an outstanding sled! You just can not go wrong with this purchase! Mine hauls my 78 year old carcass around with a huge fun factor. Motocross with the SoCal Vet Mx Club and Saturday @ the Glen!

I thought that with the Massive Pay you got from your Commentary work, you'd be able to afford a stable of Ducati's, philG ?

Well, my illusions of Commentary Megabucks, have been Shattered ....... 😉

Enjoy the ride!

PS : I've missed the ' FS ' designation - what is it?
