Think about it; Kawi don’t support the event and pro circuit only has a 250, meanwhile Honda does support the event and have a winning 450.
I also suspect Hymas must ride the 450 a bit and be fast on it, or they probably wouldn’t have ended up at this option. Either way, good luck to them.
You're painting the whole team with speculation about one rider, good job
Next year is in the sand. It's 100% certain Dodgerboy won't be there. Again.
Chance has experience racing off road on 450s. He did a lot of NGPC and WORCS races before he officially turned pro.

I have to think they asked him and he said no. I have a hard time believing they would have Hymas on a 450 before even asking Eli. Besides, even if Eli wanted to go but wasn’t asked he knows who to talk to make it happen, and I’m sure they would gladly take him up on it if he did offer.
In 2028 he will race, stamp it.
How so? You paying him?
For Deegan I don´t think is about the money, he has plenty.
Is more about he being afraid of getting beat by the euros as bad or even badder than he has this summer.
In his mind he was going to kick ass on MX and for sure if he would be 1st in the championship beating both lawrence´s he would be eager and confident to go to MXoN.
Thats my take and opinion, could be wrong for sure but makes sense.
No need,he‘s on home soil like last year, captain america will show up.
But why take a team. 1 mechanic per rider🤷♂️
Oh how the cultural zeitgeist shifts. 10 years ago it was all
“ who cares if your not getting paid, do it for national pride”
He’s been getting beat all year. He would actually probably have a better chance of doing well at MXDN with no Lawrence’s this year.
People like to think it’s the most talent heavy race of the year but it’s simply not true. It’s the most ‘convince three riders from your nation to go represent your country once a year race”.
I’d say the US is the only country that has to do a lot convincing.
What other race has all (or almost all) the best riders together? Who doesn’t regularly go that should?
The way the fans are about this event, the zero purse from in front, and the risk of injury at the worst possible time I don't blame riders for opting out. This is a circus with no winners.
Again, a very US centric set of circumstances.
Have many MXON have Team USA won without Kawasaki?
It’s usually the best from European MXGP vs American Pro Motocross but this year won’t represent that without Lawrence’s and Coenen’s.
This is why I wanted to see Deegan go on a 250. He was dominating everyone, I wanted to see if he could do what ONLY Villopoto has done. Beat everyone at MXON on a 250f. Now that Haiden is a learning 450 rider it’s not the same sending him. Even though he’s the best American he’s still a 450 rookie.
Pit Row
Apparently not beyond one guy.
big opportunity for Chance to show his stuff on a 4fiddy...........hope he kills it ala sushi!
i can also see kitchen being on the podium in 250 so USA may actually podium this year?
no lawrence's means all the other teams move up at least one place regardless.
Where is your source that the Coenens aren't racing? 😅
I thought Lewis' interview of Deegs today was great. I can't stand the entire Deegan clan, but he articulated it pretty well. He doesn't need start money, but the teams need to be paid by InFront on a graduated scale based on travel distance. A stipend out of the millions that those Luongo clowns are raking in on MXdN is reasonable. It's nuts that manufacturers and riders/national federations have eaten the cost for as long as they have (or at least since Gueseppe signed his 20+ year deal to run the GPs.
Genuine question: does Feld or MX Sports cover travel costs for anyone racing AMA races?
I’ve asked this another way asking if they pay the teams purse money and didn’t get a response from DonM so I’m assuming NO
Webb, Hymas, and Kitchen are the winners with American fans no matter the outcome. It’s a PR win/win for them personally and ALL their sponsors.
The Deegans will always be remembered as a stain on the industry. Daddy’s little revenge tour (Haiden) taints their every decision. Nobody wanted the 90 pound fake angry all the time tramp stamp having wanna be gangsta rapper persona back in the day so now he is going to make the industry pay using his son as a weapon.
Like it or not the MXdN is the ultimate MX industry race worldwide so the Deegandashian’s are trying to sabotage it.
Let’s hope their rein of terror is brief. Sad a sport and industry that has given them every single dollar they have is their enemy.
Hell no
This entire premise is a smokescreen for the Deegandashian’s to avoid the MXDN.
No. It’s a bit of an inconvenient truth. People demanding that the promoter help with travel costs when so such concept exists in the US MX/SX series.
No, it’s a very Deegandashian centric set of circumstances
My point is if you were to actually take the best 80 riders in the world it wouldn’t divide up nicely into 3 per country. The field is thinned out and usually too heavy. Just like the Olympics.
Some of you should go back 10-15 years and read what was being said when guys like Eli didn’t want to go.
