Whoever retouched these photos did an amazing job. Feels like you're standing there.

Thats wild about the number 658. A friend of mine  had a bad crash that resulted in his death early in 2010.  So wild to think that number hasn't been used since he was still alive.

It wasn't the same person that ran it as a Pro.

As a sidenote I wish more riders got creative with the number fonts like jo. That 30 looks sick.

Don't all the factory guys basically have their own font now?

There are 7 active racers who could have picked a single-digit career number, but didn't:

14 - Dylan Ferrandis

15 - Dean Wilson

18 - Jett Lawrence

21 - Jason Anderson

38 - Haiden Deegan

94 - Ken Roczen

96 - Hunter Lawrence

But there are only 4 active racers (plus J Mart and Cianciarulo, who will lose theirs next year) who have single-digit numbers.  So there are more who opted out than opted in.

JoeyNovice sits on the most complete moto database that exists. Fowler’s Facts only goes back so far. The other guy (something dragon or something) that posts the long info often has inaccuracies and doesn’t care to correct them.

Yeah for numbers right now I have the full 1-999 back to 1998. Then full 1-99 from 1980-1997 thanks to pulp's numerology. I've also got probably dozens of triple digits logged pre 1998 but it starts to get sparse in the 70s and 80s. The trading cards from the early 90s helped a lot with the three digit guys in those years.
