"initially reported to be a broken collarbone" So it isn't?

Maybe a broken shoulder blade? I remember Herlings breaking his a few years ago when someone landed on him, and he still went on to win the moto.

Could he have a grade 2 AC separation? He could definitely have still finished the moto with that. God damn it, what a bummer.

I believe Dungey rode the 2012 St. Louis Supercross (2nd place) with a cracked collarbone.

This is just a written report of what was said on the broadcast…

These dudes are leading world championships, and for sure, it's cool to see them racing the US outdoors but man, they've ankle tapped themselves.

Triumph riders Farres and McLellen have been thrown a huge bone here and for Herlings, he got a little bone.

Suspect Lucas will be fine. Sacha may have lost the title run. Hope not. But hey, he went 1-1 at Southwick and became a legend! Comparisons to Magoo! What an honor.

They still have 8 rounds to go over in the MXGP. I think if Sasha misses 1 round , I can see him still winning that championship. That kid is a beast!

Are any of the other top running MXGP riders racing national races? Seems like Herlings is always racing somewhere.

Yes, plenty. I would say that almost everyone race their national races, such as Gajser, Herlings, Febvre, Vialle, Renaux, de Wolf...

As we all saw, Sasha was holding his collarbone , sure seemed like it may have been broken.  If so, thinking he might try riding with it plated?

Herlings and Febvre, yes. Gajser, Renaux and Vialle, a lot less during the MXGP season. And De Wolf is injured.

Tighter team budget keeps teams racing more local where its safer than over seas.

The Coenen brothers have been rumored to be headed to the USA  for a couple years. When I saw them at the 2025 MXoN they truly  showed their talents.

Will they both be on East and West 250 SX thats a possibility but at this point doubtful

What the Coenen’s are doing doesn’t seem too out of line or unusual. Of course there is risk, but there is risk training at home (see Jett).
I am glad they came and hope they still race Ironman. Getting track and series familiarity for their future.

This sums up moto PR as a whole pretty well.

I think if Lucas wins the 450 MXGP series he would have to ride 450 SX.

Yes, this year is a little bit different... but Gajser in the past raced both Croatian and Slovenian races. I had GoPro on his helmet so know for sure. Now with Yamaha, not so much. Renaux is having issue with health, Vialle with injury...

Even if he doesn’t win he’s not going back down to 250s.

Sacha is my favourite rider atm, not just on the track, but also in interviews and his character

He looked pretty fkd yesterday, I would be surprised if he lines up at fox hills, I hope he does, as he's great to watch in the flesh

I am wondering if they will can Iron Man or come for redemption but it sure has been a confidence building experience for both of them.

Has to be a crappy feeling. You can see the panic from  the injury. Could be the end of his championship. Lucky he didn’t collapse a lung & break 7 ribs on his backside. Like me by far the worst pain of any injury.  Lacerations & a hole in the lung . 2 weeks later in massive pain yet. Hv to sleep sitting up  & leaned to the right.

All the GP runners race on most non-GP weekends.

Herlings, Febvre etc raced the Dutch Masters (national series) on Sunday. Italian and British domestic series were happening too.

The only differences for the Coenens are the jet lag, and riding a different bike set up.

If he has broken his collarbone I’d be very surprised if he lines up at Foxhills because of the natural of the track, I can’t imagine anything worse than jumping down those hard pack hills with a shoulder injury.

Yeah, I think he skip England and will show at Loket.

Lucas, hopefully doesn't have to sit out with a concussion protocol, as he was a bit disoriented when stand8ng up.

Sascha on the other hand - since I know he's last years mechanic is going to race foxhills - he can do top 10 without a hand, but it all depends how it is broken, if it is a clean brake, then for sure he is going to plate that sucker up and ride, or if they can plant a nail it, also could ride. Worse case scenario would be if it is just a crack or something you can not fix surgically and then there is time. And collarbone on a 19 year old, could be 6 weeks he can ride without pain.

But yeah, those Twins showed everyone that "We Also race in europe"  - and there are couple of brothers also c9m8ng up the ranks, Latvia is especially strong as shows the Reisulis brothers are already at eelite levels, then are those two young twins Cirulis - Patriks and Martins, they also work with the same trainers as are Reisulises so they will make a mark. And they also have some brothers racing 65cc toghether - had the names when started this reply but now i can not remember it!
