When Chase would "try" and challenge Jett, it was ok to root for Chase. When Eli raced Jett, it was ok to root for Eli. If Hunter races Jett, (and beats Jett, it's ok). In the past few years, these are the other 3 who have challenged Jett and we all wanted to see, or want to see them challenge Jett.

But lo & behold, the 3rd fastest 450 rider who is improving vastly week after week, and happens to be a rookie, is dreadfully sometimes challenging Jett! Or at least keeping him honest.

We already have seen each track is going to bring something different. Like Haiden having Hunters number at Thunder Valley for many laps to Hunter being the guy at High Point. From Jett winning by 20 seconds at Thunder Valley over Deggs to besting Deegs by 4 seconds in moto 2 at High Point.

Just like I rooted for Chase especially challeging Jett, and how I rooted for Hunter at High Point, I welcome Deegan in the 450 class to challenge Jett.

All it is, is a different rider this year bringing a small challenge so far to Jett, but what I feel is different for the Jett fans totally hating this challenger from the other 3 isn't his mouth as much as it is the real threat. And since they know this time this threat is longstanding, and real and ain't going away, they really hate this challenger. Because like the rest of us, they didn't know what to expect from Deegan. Was he going to be a 5th place guy? A 7th place guy.?  No he came out really good in his first 450 race ever. He was an instant podium threat. He's running 3rd in points.

He's already challenging Hunter. He's kind of challenging Jett. Now! And its got them scared, pissed and hating that son of a bitch!! They can't believe how much that damn kid is improving every fucking week and they're scared, and pissed and hating some more.

It's really good shit. I love how its going and the guy I'm rooting for is losing to Jett every week. And I still love how its going. Because Deegs is better than I expected.

how about an executive recap as this is too long to read in full? those other guys didn't act like a tremendous D-bag as Haiden does....especially since he's been all mouth and no action. he's also racing a guy who can't ride during the week, train normally, and struggles walking; yet he still can't beat Jett.. you Dangerboyz can't see the forest thru the trees

I didn't even root for Deegs until this season. I root for the guys in green mostly. Was rooting for Chase when the season began. Rooting for Marchbanks mostly now.

But c'mon. So Wo PHAT actually must have expected Deegan to win multiple races, and beat Hunter, Jett and all the rest a lot this season. Ans sine he's not................he says he hasn't shown us anything yet????

Well, Wo Phat, I for one, had way lower expectations. Like I thought he would be a 4th to 7th place guy. I thought he might have had a bad crash or two by now to be honest, and hopefully not injured. I base that off the rider he was on the 250f's and how the transition is really tough. So unlike you, He's shown A LOT! He's shown hes a podium threat every week. I didn't expect that. Apparently you did. He's shown he can run down Hunter and pass him and lead him and gap him. I didn't expect that like you did. He's shown he's improving like a mother f-ck every week. I didn't  expect that, like you apparently did. So to me, he's shown me a hell of a lot.

But since you already had all those expectations for him coming in as a rookie, I guess I"ll believe you when you say he hasn't shown you anything yet.

HD is gonna win motos and overalls soon enough, barring disaster. He’s a great rider, he’s fit, he wants it.

I’ll probably turn down the volume if/when that happens though.

Only way 38 wins is runs his moto 2 lap 15 pace every lap.  My personal unbiased opinion is that 96 was gone, 18 was in no man’s land and was either bored or checked out, 38 runs his best lap on 15 and Jett responded and ran his best lap on 16.  If 38 ran his lap 15 pace the entire moto he could’ve won.

Deegs gets it from Brian. It is what it is. But he could be a pudgy jelly roll kid who has rich parents and didn't do shit with his life. But instead, we got this kid that is majorly driven. Driven to win a race. Driven to win a championship. Driven to win and dominate the 250f class. And so far, I haven't seen that drive fade. It appears he's driven to leave a mark in the 450 class as well. Is that to win a race?. To win a championship? I don't know. But from what I've seen so far, he has an intense drive to be the best in the 450 class. He's got a tall ladder to climb. But I'm not counting him out.

I'll put up with the antics, because it's going to get good!

How did he dominate 250’s.

Did he win every championship he entered?

just to be clear - i didn't expect D-bag to win, don't care if he ever wins, and don't like all of his bs. if it matters (and it don't) i'm a Tomac guy. hope he makes it back but there may be more to his injuries than we all know.

going back to the original post.....i'm mostly giving D-bags Dangerboyz crap for all the 1-1 posts preseason

Yall really don’t get it. It’s really not that difficult to understand. People don’t hate the rider, most agree he’s an unbelievable rider. They hate the person. If any one of those riders you mentioned acted the way deegan does no one would like them either.

Deegan’s good for the sport, and eventually will get a moto win, hopefully this season.

Do you really want outsiders to think we all act like him?

Regardless, he's the only rider I'm sick of hearing about whether he wins or loses, and I don't think I'm in a minority. The kid is just so unlikable it's crazy. Digging at people's significant others for clout is just trashy. Of course if you say that you're just a "hater" or have "Deegan Derangement Syndrome". Yeah okay.

I can't reconcile hearing moto media people say we should wholesale get rid of privateers to make AMA MX/SX more "professional" like F1/MotoGP/etc. while also claiming Deegan and his WWE antics are "good for the sport". Those two things attract mutually exclusive groups of people...

On the flip side, I got 100% SICK of hearing Jett is a generational talent and an alien when he came on the scene.  The media...

On the flip side, I got 100% SICK of hearing Jett is a generational talent and an alien when he came on the scene.  The media forced him down everyone's throat so much that I just don't like the guy and want SOMEONE to beat him.

I believe Deegan will continue to improve and eventually get a win.

Be cool if Jett pulled what James did to reed, slow down, let him pass, then just reel him back in & gap him.

I'm a super fan just out here supporting Deegan because that's what super fans do. Some of the others, on the other hand, are weirdos obsessed with Haiden's every move.  I'm sure every one of them secretly follow all his socials because it's the haters that are always posting what he says on them.  Just look at the posts about him on this board in the last week -- all started by haters. They just can't get "whats his name" out of their heads and it's hilarious and deserves to be trolled.

Deegan obviously has speed, but for actual results at the moment he's just the best of the rest.  Still yet to finish a moto closer than 8 seconds to the leader.

Four rounds in and he's one-and-a-half moto's worth of points down.

But since you already had all those expectations for him coming in as a rookie, I guess I"ll believe you when you say he hasn't shown you anything yet.

just to be clear - i didn't expect D-bag to win, don't care if he ever wins, and don't like all of his bs. if it matters (and it don't) i'm a Tomac guy. hope he makes it back but there may be more to his injuries than we all know.

going back to the original post.....i'm mostly giving D-bags Dangerboyz crap for all the 1-1 posts preseason

Nothing shows you don't care like showing up in every thread about Deegan to offer your opinion on Deegan.

Be cool if Jett pulled what James did to reed, slow down, let him pass, then just reel him back in & gap him.

I've been thinking this. If the chirping continues, I feel like there's going to be a day soon where Jett is feeling good, something happens in the days leading up or in the morning quali as we saw on the weekend, and he's just going to decide to make a fool of him.

Of course, its all a fantasy scenario, but maybe not all that far-fetched, especially after the weekend's incident.

Mess the bull enough times, get the horns so to speak.

He pretty much did that in Saturday’s qualfying when he went out and put almost 2 seconds on Deegan’s best time, just because he wanted to (I don’t know if 2 seconds was his goal, or if he was just proving a point, though). Deegan tried running another fast lap before time ran out, but he couldn’t even beat his own best time much less Jett’s.

You watch his last lap he totally overrode the bike almost like he was forcing it to go faster, sometimes you go slower to go faster

It's funny that some are assuming others don't like Deegan just because they're Jett fans..

Couldn't be any other reason surely haha

Hitting the nail on the head. The assumption that everyone holding deegan to his own standards, intentions, hype and words is a Jett Fanboy, is really prevalent around here. But if you would engage on a more objective level you could also come to the conclusion that haiden has not met his generated hype. That is a fact.
