Again, Yamaha has had that for a long time since 2014 I believe

Man, that front end is still ugly as sin. YZ 85 on front of a 450.

2009 was their last good looking 450. They’ve been butt ugly ever since.

2024 version, no black. It does seem to copy the CRF but all of the Japanese bikes seem to borrow trends off one another. Well, except 'Zuk.

Am I the only one disappointed the anniversary edition isn’t yellow?

It's the 70th anniversary edition of Yamaha motorbikes.

The 1955 Yamaha YA-1 was red:

I hear you Wandell!  The CR's basically had a scoop ramp on the front and the radiator behind front number plate is an all timer...haha

Perhaps we bring back the number plate on the rear fender like the early 80's KX's...style for days

I wonder if an aftermarket vortex ecu circumvents the anti theft?

Regardless, it's a interesting idea that could be helpful or turn into problems down the road...

Eli may not like it but I was putting Magura hydraulic clutches on my yz's 20 years ago.

Probably, it will be tied to the stock ECU like the hour meter etc.

It's not the "majority opinion." It's the predictably negative opinion of the same whiny self-appointed style masters that bitch about pretty much every evolution of every bike post-McGrath. They're tiresome, but they're harmless.

I had the yellow Anniversary Edition in 2006. They should definitley bring it back. The red and white scheme here seems to look better on the two strokes than the modern 4 strokes.

I like the red and white way better than blue.   Never been a fan of blue.  It doesn’t matter how much I like it, I got a garage full of scooter that don’t get ridden enough.

No changes to the 2026 YZ 2T line except for the new white plastic anniversary edition.

In addition to the extensively updated 2026 YZ450F flagship motocrosser, Yamaha is also updating its 2026 YZ125 two-stroke competition model and 2026 YZ125 Yamaha 70th Anniversary Edition with an updated intake design and revised carburetion and CDI settings for more consistent performance in varying conditions, more linear power delivery and enhanced rideability

Well the suckers plunking down 10 grand (or more likely financing) for their new dirt bike can’t feel the new frame, so the new PW80 bodywork helps justify it. Nice.

That Anniversary livery is ugly. All the previous ones were much better IMO. Luckily it’s still a good bike and looks don’t matter that much.

When the biggest complaint is the front number plate, or maybe white vs. yellow for an anniversary color, they probably have a winner. Still need to see KTM, but is there a more complete bike in stock form than the YZ?

By the way, the shape of it reminds me of the top of a 1981 YZ125 number plate.

That 2010-13 was designed by Rainbow Studios.

They changed the frame back to more of the 22 angles I think. If so that bike will be the best thing ever. To bad Eli won’t get it.

I just don’t understand why they think eliminating the side number plate is a good look. It looks so terrible and it sucks that they keep moving in this direction. Beta being the worst but now most brands are following this. Such a shame.
