Why? This is something i cant wrap my head around. Can Showa not do shims and mid-valves like KYB for some reason?
I get the single side air/damping WP forks not being able to perform, but whats so different with Showa?
What is so difficult? Prado has 2 years left on his deal, Chase would be a minimum 2 years at the very least. Pretty simple logic to figure out....... Chase going green is no secret.
So you would also find it hard to believe Eli requested to ride the kawi then? Odd response from you. Are you saying kawi will run three guys or are you confused about who we are talking about.
I just realize you were the guy I replied to. I was agreeing with you in my reply.

I am not saying MEK would run 3 guys next year at all. Requesting one to test? Anything is possible I guess..... but I just don't think they would have 3 guys under a 450 tent is all. However, they could afford that's for sure. However, Prado and Chase are signed and sealed for at least the next 2 seasons.
Liquid Death in moto would be rad. Love the straight water. Plus it just sounds bad ass
Ducati off road general manger just outside of Cortez currently. On his instagram story, runs the mxgp moto program.
Link or it didn't happen.
I’m starting to the think Swap is just saying shit for clicks or something. He said Prado was moving to Florida for MX training when he was already locked in to train at ClubMX. Then he said Tomac has 3 brands in his garage right now.. Maybe I guess but lately his claims have all been wrong.
Oh I'm sure a lot of it is just stirring the pot bs
So Eli is switching to GNCC!
There’s still a long ways to go, but it’s starting to feel like TLD Duc might find a way to get it done. Was a long shot, maybe still a long shot…. But.
Lol.
So Tomac and Sexton are the only two who can run with Jett on a good day and they want to ship Tomac off and keep Justin Cooper and CC who have exactly 0 450 wins between them.
Make it make sense.
So Ducati thing is looking like a real possibility. If that's the case, surely they're going to hire a second established SX guy to help develop the bike and fill out the team. Who you got? Barcia and tomac as teammates? And how's it going to work doing all the necessary testing to get the thing ready for SX with tomac rarely leaving home to train? Does team Ducati have a physical US home yet?
Tmac has a track to train on at home, Ducati could develop the bike at Tomac's track.
They were riding it with Seely last week at the test tracks in corona
Pit Row
So, Tomac goes beast mode and wins the outdoors, and has Ducati carrying the red number one plate for its inaugural season outdoors..
This entire deal makes no sense. Justin Cooper leveled up for sure but keeping him over Tomac or to not go after Sexton? Is trimming the 250 roster not an option? I'd love to see Sexton on a Star 450, the bike looks dialed. Tomac was ripping before both of his fluke injuries, it would be a shame to see him go.
Yamaha pays the 450 team, star pays the 250 team.
Chase switched from Monster to RedBull when he moved to KTM.
They can probably get both Webb and Cooper for what they'd pay for Eli, and from a cold hard business perspective those two have delivered far more value than Eli in the last two years.
Eli is an all-timer and has built a huge legacy, but at some point you have to deliver and Eli hasn't delivered very much since the end of SX in 2023. He's raced 21 out of 34 SX races, with two wins; 2 out of 22 outdoor rounds, and 3 out of 6 SMX rounds.
I can see it now:
Eli- “Have you been testing the bike?”.
Justin- “This year?”
Webb reigning SX champ, reliable, great with the 250 guys. Jcoop long term, high quality 2nd rider, solid indoors/outdoors, team player. They're cheaper collectively & also play ball and train at the farm. They are also clearing way for Deegan who will be 450 MX next year.
Tomac been testing the Ducati this week in co
People who are able to look at the situation objectively will get this. People who love spending other people's money won't.
Big brain time: Eli found the KTM to be so awful that he's trying to take Chase's spot at Kawi in order to force Chase to stick with KTM 😲
Alright I'm done schizo-posting.
A few years ago I woulda laughed at this statement, there's no freaking way.
Fast forward to 2025, and in theory its possible. Tomac lines up for 2026 MX on the #1 Ducati.
If you’ve been following everything, it makes perfect sense. First off Yamaha pays the 450 budget, Star pays the 250 budget. ET has been up in the air about retiring for the past few years. These deals don’t come together in a day or two Yamaha, Star, etc. have to make plans in advance. You act like Yamaha doesn’t want him.
Webb just won the Supercross title for Yamaha not only are they not going to let him go, he’s also going to get a pay increase for next year. Cooper is a solid second rider on the team, and would demand also a lot less money than Tomac or Sexton. Same thing with Sexton. They wouldn’t be able to afford him.
Then bring into account that Deegs will be moving up here in a year and Yamaha is not going to dare let him go. There’s only budget for so many riders and a lot of this falls on Tomac because he’s been hinting about retirement for the past few years.
it will definitely be interesting to see where Tomac goes. KTM already has a race proven bike, but it’s also a steel frame. It may take a little bit to get used to. I think Ducati needs a season or two to get their bike developed for Supercross which would be a huge risk for a rider in his last year or two that still wants to win. 🍿
