The sport is relatively speaking tiny, with a tiny media made up of enthusiastic amateurs and bros, and teams who will blacklist anyone who doesn't blow them on a regular basis. There is no media that has enough economic clout to go against the teams - hence the situation in moto.

Speculation is a form of opinion. But back to the main issue, and leaving JA's health issues aside, I think he won't be back at Kawasaki anyway. Of course if Chase goes there then it's 100 per cent the case. But even if he doesn't JA hasn't done enough this season to keep his ride, especially considering he's well on the downside of his career. This is not 2022 anymore.

It’s oddly coincidental. Wouldn’t be the first time a rider pulled out because of “health” reasons when it really was the contract all along. If he hadn’t heard from Kawasaki yet when the Chase rumor started swirling I could see this playing out. Obviously all speculation, or an opinion. I hope JA is healthy.

Unfortunately this thread is a good representation of society today and Vital is not immune.
This once fantastic forum has been suffering from this for a while now. It is becoming more and more of a dumping ground for unnecessary keyboard warrior egos.
On topic, I have no idea what’s going on with Jason but as a human I hope he gets through whatever is going on as best as possible. Life happens and sometimes it’s bigger than motorcycle racing or any other career for that matter.
The teams won’t close ranks. They’ll be silly to do that.
Those that try that, stop getting talked about and don’t get photos in the press.
Less coverage and fewer photos won’t make sponsors happy. The sponsors shift to the team that IS getting the coverage.
I think online posting by classy logical people is winding down because of fear of being associated with the illogical mob that takes over everything. And then the illogical mob feels even more empowered as they tell themselves how stupid everyone else is.

Sounds like kawi management should be in a contract year as well. That team has taken riders at the height of their career and then driven them straight into the ground. Has anyone that has left that team been upset over it?

Kawasaki changed upper management in the US not long ago. They went from being really good to really bad in a lot of ways. Lots of pissed off people right now, JA might be one of them.
Things rarely end good….thats why they end…..
