Am I wrong? These guys will probably dominate the series for many years. Toss in a few wins here and there for Chase. Of course, I realize things can change quickly but at the moment...

Only one will dominate and that is Jett.

Sexton, Hunter, Vialle, Prado, Deegan, Kitchen etc will all be up there and snag podiums and wins but the majority of winning will go to Jett and nobody will beat him the next 5-7 years straight up if Jett stays healthy and doesn't get seriously injured.

Lots of talk about this recently on pulp. Jett is just next level right now. Hunter seems to be figuring it out but let’s face it, he’s not gonna catch his brother unless something drastically changes. Vialle’s learning curve is definitely impressive but again, not sure he’ll ever catch Jett. Prado still a question mark in a full SX series but did well so far. I’m not banking on Deegs being the savior of American MX/SX. Yeah he’s fast, but what’s he done? SMX champion? Yippee. He may be a 250E champ this year but even if so, it doesn’t necessarily translate to a brilliant 450 career as we’ve seen repeatedly. Kitchen also has improved but again still a lot to prove. The one to take the 18 down for real may still be riding mini bikes right now. He’s just that good and if you don’t think so go watch him in person. Yesterday was the 5th time I’ve watched him in person and it’s insane how fast he goes while looking like he’s on the way to his pit. And no I’m not a fanboy. Still rooting for the old guy sporting the 3

You could see Jett was 'different' his first year in the pros. RV2 was that way as well.

All the hype is about deegan but with him growing up riding sx tracks his whole life he should be waxing guys like vialle who has very little sx experience until last year. I don't see him beating jett until jetts prime is over.

All MXGP riders. Seems like America’s amateur system is broken.

Jett in most cases has everyone covered. The Nationals with Prado would be great to see matched up with Jett.

Deegan's style honestly just doesn't translate as well to indoors and I think that's largely visible with them saying that he's making an active effort mid way through the season to change his riding style and technic to a calmer more measured rider. You absolutely can hang it the fuck out outdoors and be the fastest guy because of it and he had several races last year as a rookie where that showed. On some of those tracks he was more impressive that anyone on the day from either class except for Jett who is an unreal talent.

Darren Lawrence said exactly that. If Jett didn’t go pro when he did Dazzy was taking him back to Europe cos he was going backwards in the US amateur system.

Outdoors Prado will have plenty for Jett in 2025, indoors, not so much. Vialle has been flat out impressive and his SX game is for real. He will be a threat for years to come. Can't wait for Prado to get here though and some of the young MX2 guys are fucking fast, and young-get them over here! I love watching that class way more than the MXGP class outside of Prado putting on a clinic each race. Like Billy the kid found out, there is always a faster gun out there........! For now though Jett is clearly the alpha. Unlike most of you on here, I do like a good run of domination.

American SX/MX is in a weird spot right now. A lot of the 450 class is getting up there in age, and there hasn't been a lot of talent coming up through the 250 class to push them out. I'm not sure if this because there hasn't been as much talent over the last decade or so, or if it's because 250 deals are lucrative enough that there's little incentive to move up.

Eventually though, the current crop of the 450 class will have to retire, and alot of the top 250 guys that are positioned to replace them are getting up there in age as well. Some (like Osborne) may do pretty well, but many (like Davalos and Craig) will not. Afterall, there's a reason why they haven't been forced out the 250 class yet. And even if they do adapt, they won't be around for too long either.

There are some promising young riders on the horizon, like Kitchen and Deegan, but I think the days of deep 450 fields are coming to a close, and we may be entering an era were the sport is dominated by an elite few, like we saw in the days of Carmichael, Reed, and Stewart.

It’s our amateur system. Living at training facilities at 10 years old and racing LL does not work.

Sexton is the biggest threat, hope he can get comfy on the KTM or get on a different bike soon to keep things interesting.  Hunter won't ever be a threat he'll just eat Jett's scraps.

Agreed! I really don't see anyone coming up or current pro that has the raw speed/technique/or talent to rival Jett.  Sexton could but I don't think he can deal with getting beat by Jett, messes with his head too much.  That's the only thing holding him back, well plus the bike.  I haven't been very impressed by Deegan, he over rides the bike so much is frustrating to watch.  I don't think Prado will have much, even outdoors.  Honestly wouldn't be surprised if Jett goes undefeated again in outdoors.  Hopefully ET3 gets back on track, still doesn't look 100% confident on the bike.

Not sure why you're getting downvoted it the truth.  It doesn't translate well into outdoors either, you're just able to hide it a little better on a MX track.  There's a reason he'd be smoked for pretty much every second moto.

Anything can change in an instant in the SX world. Who knows what all the guys you mentioned will do.

But, how lucky are we that all of those guys are choosing American SX/MX to race so we have all that talent in our series versus others. That is more what I look at!

Yeah, OK.

If you are winning you can justify any riding style you want.  Deegan hasn’t done much winning in his first three series as a pro.

Vialle was impressive as hell on Saturday. The poise he showed moving forward with Deegan, his closest title threat, behind him the whole main. His mental game is tough

It sure looks like Jett is going to be the standard all others are measured by for some years to come. You never know when someone else might step up and challenge him. I don't see it from any of the current 450 crop but maybe Prado or a Kitchen or someone not yet on the radar. All I know is that the future of the sport here in America looks as good as it has ever been. The SMX playoff was a brilliant move in my opinion and I can see the structure of the whole year of racing getting reformulated at some point. We have THE series now beyond a doubt and I hope the people that run the show make the right moves with it in the near future Smile

I don't agree with that. If you have been watching closely lately he has been cleaning it up and seems to smooth it out as the race goes on. I think the fact that they have been exposing him to so many different other riders in his training is sinking in personally. That said he may never have the blazing speed of some but he is a real grinder and I think he is going to have a really nice career. I can't wait to see him graduate to a 450 actually.

The mental game is often overlooked and may be the most important aspect of becoming a great champion. Vialle seems to have it but still a lot for him to prove yet.

Ricky was widely thought to be the next great champion even from his days on a 65. He stood out that much. Deegan has been good but I don't think that many thought he would be the next dominant rider...except maybe his social media groupies.

Jett dealing with the pressure of this SX season is going to be really bad news for his competition. He'll know now the ins and outs of racing a full season. I don't see anyone really challenging.

He should be more relaxed this year outdoors. Last year had it's own type of pressure. I don't think he'll go undefeated.

Chase is a real unknown quantity for outdoors. We know he can haul ass but will the KTM work for him? People saying he should get off KTM, that would just set him back as far as developing a new to him bike and "getting comfortable" while Jett keeps killing it. Isn't KTM on a new frame again? They generally run 4 years so that should give him time to settle and and maybe find that first place comfort and speed.
