Some of the older guys could maybe get top 10 percentile lap times but the difference is they can't do it consistently for 35+ Aging out is a bitch

He's cutting through the field that fast because he's way faster than most the field So is Prado, but Deegan is still a better passer. You can tell Deegan had mediocre starts his whole 250 career (except for this year in SX) while Prado was mostly holeshotting with how they pass and go around people.

Jett falling and being right in front of you is the biggest motivator you can ask for and daddy Jett pulled another 12 seconds on him….rip deegs

Im wondering how 2nd moto he was on the fender of Jett twice and got gapped by 15 seconds.

Penalizing Jett was 100% the right call. Everyone of us would have cried if Deegan did the same, let's be honest. I'm personally just not the biggest fan of position penalties in moto. It doesn't feel right when a rider has a huge gap and then still loses the position due to penalty. Just my two cents

I think the ankle is the main reason he's crashing so much and that Hunter has the fitness advantage, yeah. But I don't think he's that much slower anymore compared to last year for example. They're putting 4-6 seconds a lap on the rest of the field except for Deegan and Prado. They're definitely getting faster since Pala aswell. Hunter for sure made a big leap this year. He's pushing a pace we have only seen from Jett and maybe Chase (Chase on rare occasions) so far. Do I think Jett would still win if he was completely healthy? Yeah...

It's interesting that KTM Sexton returning from injury was able to beat healthy Jett at Washougal last year. I think Sexton at his best is probably faster than Deegan

I hate to tell the Deegan fanboys this but Deegs will not win a championship until the Lawrence’s have started their decline. Whenever that is.

Moto 1: Deegan ripped a big hole shot and fell in turn 2. Got himself back into 4th place by about mid-race. Jett and Hunter gapped everyone by a mile and Prado was a lonely 3rd. Jett dropped a lap near the end that was 2-3 seconds faster than the rest of the fastest riders. Moto 2: Jett went off track early in the race and accelerated to get back on in front of Deegan. He gapped Deegan, battled with Hunter, took the lead, crashed, gapped Deegan again, but got 3rd due to penalty from off-track acceleration.

He literally crashed which you said and he still gapped the shit out of him. 10 seconds in 5 minutes is doing different things. A crash isn’t even enough.

He has no choice since he can't run with them. Of course he's going to be all humble on the podium. Hard to talk shit when you are getting worked every weekend after all the BS before the season started

Jett is the perfect example of the principle: "The idea is to win as slowly as possible." If that still isn't obvious after today, you're just being delusional. Whenever he decides to, he can drop everyone with ease, then immediately settles into a pace that's just enough to stay in front. He never goes any harder than he has to.

I have to admit that I like this new humble Deegan. Really! Guess reality hit him hard, going from "RIP Jett", "smashing the field" to "glad to follow them for a few laps". Probably needed a few races/weeks to realize that all he can is to learn from the best. Just wonder if a first win will get him back on the same arrogant path that he was earlier this season.

Those best lap times are crazy. I’m convinced the peloton brothers would beat anybody in history of the sport. 2 seconds faster than Deegan who is 1 second faster than Prado
