FFS, you can't declare a rivalry "settled" when it hasn't even started. Once Deegs can win an overall, lead laps, and is directly battling with the Aussies on the track consistently THEN the rivalry can START! Until then, Deegan is just the cute little puppy sitting in the corner barking up a storm while the two big dogs in the room eat his food with not a care in the world, only mildly worrying about each other.

The media wants a rivalry so that it gives them something to talk about, but for the time being it's non-existent. Maybe next year or the year after, but it certainly not this year. This was a rivalry:

To me it’s seemed like the Hunter brothers swapping 1-2nd, Deegan in 3rd, Prado in 4th, then Marchbanks and RJ swapping 5th fairly consistently lol I’d like to see Deegan and Prado battle more for the podium

Since 2024 when Hunter moved up, only one has beaten both for an overall and it's Sexton who did it twice. The only rivalry at the top is between the brothers. Edit: beaten both in a moto, not overall.
