RC saying something stupid and negative about chase, big surprise there....

FWIW.... I did track walk tonight and was surprised how much gravel was on the surface of the track....

I remember outdoors years ago when Tomac got a rock hit his Kawi master cylinder and the next weekend he had a guard. Pit bits for next week?

So, to be clear, a rock cracked the actual throttle body, not the throttle tube? Is that what they’re saying? How does that ever work?

So you’re saying Chase found himself between a rock….and a hard place?

I’ll see myself out.

DV called a stuck throttle as soon as he saw it happen

Chase went for the money. Should have bet on him self and gone to star and make the the difference by winning races.

I thought the same as well, bizzare crash, to boner air it like that throttle had to be stuck.  The case wasn't too bad, but then it bucked.

How would a rock crack the throttle body? I don’t doubt the throttle stuck and I’m sure that it did, but sounds like ktm being shady blaming a rock.

I thought I saw Friese throw a rock from the other side of the track.  Fuckin Friese!

Ofc it was a rock and not a picture of it.

When i rode for Honda each time something ”just broke” it was always a cover-up story.

One race the stator just gave up, it was a hot day and bikes were boiling all over the place (enduro). At last the stator got so hot so it gave up.

The official statement were that a stick had pulled off the air boot and that the bike sucked in dust and broke that way…

Yeah, a rock to the throttle body straight from the left side in a right hand turn…

People were starting to doubt the "electrical fault " every time a bike had a mechanical problem, so now it will be a rocks fault.

And last year it was the red pig that screwed him all the time? You guys can’t have it both ways

I took it to mean the throttle housing on the bars, not the EFI throttle body.

Is it time to now start calling Sextons switch to KTM a disaster?

I don't think we can say that yet. Lets revisit the topic at round 8 in 2025.

With that said. Even if he would be on a Honda, or any other brand. I don't think he will ever beat Jett Lawrence to a title straight up.

So up til last night he was closer to first in points than a year ago.  A rock hitting and cracking the throttle is a fluke and could happen on any bike.

Yeah it hasn't been as bad as people have made it out to be.

If you ignore RC saying “yelling at his mechanic” and watch and listen then he doesn’t act or sound pissed at the mechanic.  It looks like he was asked a question and points over to the bike and says something.  If you have ever been to a race then you can’t communicate without raising your voice with all the bike noise.  I watched the walk by his mechanic multiple times and I think Chase is hurt and bummed….but if RC doesn’t make that comment and put that thought in your head…. you just see a bummed rider but nothing to indicate yelling at or pissed at his mechanic.

I felt exactly the same way watching the clip. I didn't know what RC was talking about

RC was talking out his butt all night. My disinterested wife even commented the same.

I still have a real hard time believing that amount of white smoke coming out of Roczen's RM was caused by a blown shock.

Oh, BTW, Tomac's bike smoking also was a blown shock -that ended up being an engine oil leak.

Then what the hell was it that caused a sudden burning of oil upon impact that rendered his shock useless?

Before this race he was what 15 points down on Jett and Coop despite being in the first year of a major switch from aluminum to steel frames, and having a hand injury? I think that’s a little premature to call this a disaster. He doesn’t look as fast as he did last year, but he’s making less mistakes, and has pretty much been the same place in the standings as he was last year. I think it’s fair to give another year before we start saying stuff like that.

Both he and we know that he was 15 points off because of other things than his own performance.

I really like Sexton, he is straight forward, has a great riding style and owns up to his short commings compared to many other riders.

But i get it when even Sexton say that this season has been horrible. I doubt that he ever will have anything for Jett when it comes to a title, but i expect Chase to be the second fastest after Jett.
