Watch Ricky or James and you tell they were just willing to ride the bumpy lines and let the bike swap all over the place to go fast. Hell, watch RJ ride the 500s at Carlsbad. He was hauling ass and that bike looked more uncomfortable than anything today's pros will ever ride.

I think you gave the strongest argument for 80/90s training techniques. Why would they need him if it didn’t matter, if he wasn’t making a difference. O’mara has championships in both MX and MTB and has incredible technique. You can go to Aldon for 200k and learn to ride a road bike on a starvation diet between motos, or get advice from a legend. You choose.
