We all know about Carlsbad and Namur and such places. It's easy go into Google Maps and do a street view of those today. But what about the more obscure spots that have a place in motocross history/lore? As I continue to get older, I can't help getting sucked into these rabbit holes from time to time. Today I took a few minutes to find the spot where Jim Gianatsis photographed Hannah, McCarty and the OW26 back in 1978. Anybody got any similar nuggets to share?

When an old azz decrepit kick start suzi can win the most prestigious title in our sport, it shows we simply aren't progressing very quickly. I propose works bike be allowed in the 450 class every 5 years. Allow works bikes in 2030, 2035, 2040, etc. Gives progression to our sport and will infuse a lot of passion to all involved. As they are already allowed in mxgp, it's not that big of a stretch for any of the factories. Bring on the factory RCs, OWs, RHs, and SRs!

Based largley on Lewis' recommendation (and my travel schedule) I attended the Latvian GP this past weekend. What a tremendous event. The circuit was wonderful for spectating. The food at the track was the best I've ever had at a moto event and reasonably priced. The people were knowledgeable and very welcoming. The track itself appears closest to Southwick (which I've only seen on TV). €95 got me a weekend pass with paddock access and a program. The gate for MX2 was thin but EMX 125 and 250 were full. I had not been to a race or gotten to shoot one since 2019 because of health limitations, but the convergence of a bit cooler day, the fresh rings the docs gave the top end last year, and literally a Friday last minute hook up by Davey I was able to get out to Hangtown.
