Village Idiot Liked a reply to forum topic Motocross is so much better than SX

Who says it's the most prestigious? Well, those who want you to think it is - TV and the manufacturers. Both want eyeballs on it since it's a "made-for-TV" product and is where the money changes hands. Those who have grown up in the sport know that it's an artificial, dramatized version of its parent sport, packaged like a circus to sell to the masses who have never participated in it, just like all the other sports they watch.

I recently finished up this YZ125B. The build time was around a year. My goal was to use as many period correct hop up parts as I could find. I also used a ton of hard to find NOS Yamaha parts. The front forks and front wheel hub are off of a 1974 YZ250A. It has a full Noguchi kit. I installed Inter-Am handlebars, Goki air caps, Petty fender, Fox Shox, and a Red Line swingarm. Nearly all of the nuts, bolts and washers are correct NOS pieces. For tires I tracked down NOS Yokohama Super Diggers. I’m happy with...

Remember reading an interview with Jim about his Spanish GP win. He said he used his flat tracking experience to good use on the wide open Sabadell track, clicking his Bulto up a gear higher and power sliding the slick polished surface, taking the corners in big sweeping wide arc's. Some more photos I saved from BITD. Pomeroy leading Hakan Andersson Yamaha. Pomeroy and Andersson from another GP battle that year.

WTF does that mean “already really sick”? Like BTeam, I was talking to Joe several times per week up to him being admitted and up to then he was rocking. He also used the exact same term to me that it was “ Kicking his ass”. I also spend about 15+ weekends annually with his brother Albert at AHRMA National events ,so unless you have insider family info on joes health history, clamp that mouth shut. Anyway , to add to Joes legacy, the dude knew a ton more than 95% of the posters on here and was more than...

Two days before Joe passed, we were texting about a source that he had for zinc plating bolts for a restore that I was working on. Then he casually mentions that Covid is "kicking his ass" and he's being admitted. He kept me up to speed on what was going on and then stopped replying. Derrick called a couple of days later and filled me in after seeing my texts following up. An extremely sad day. Joe was a great guy. He was better than great. He would drop everything to help you figure something out, and he pretty much...

I believe you sent me a few. I have one on my main toolbox at home, my small box I bring to the track, and the garage fridge. I might still have 1-2 left that are unused. I nominate Newmann for the VitalMX HOF.

The top Americans stopped going. It used to be that Unadilla and Carlsbad were two of the most prestigious events you wanted to win, along with the MXdN. Hell, the only time we got on TV was the USGP after about a month or so. Riders stopped giving a shit. Not gonna pay me? Fuck off. No championship on the line, fuck off, again. Top factory riders used to ride the SUPPORT class at USGPs just to prove their worth for being chosen for the MXdN team, It's a shame. Get off my fucking lawn.
